McNabb is done. He has nothing left and lost his starting job to Rex Grossman. What more do you need to see than that!?!?!Official Driver of the Eagles Bandwagon!!!

Kyle Shanahan (and his rat-faced father) are arrogant a-holes. They're like Hitler and Hitler Jr. Instead of trying to alter their offense to utilize McNabb's talents (which, granted, are declining), they tried to change McNabb. The Redskins' OL was worse than ours - any QB (other than a great star like Rex Grossman) would have a hard time playing behind that line.
In the right situation, I feel like McNabb can still be very productive.

More speculation. Cincinnati could certainly be a good landing spot. If they could get the #4 overall by giving up Kolb and our #1, do you do it?
Could Kevin Kolb End Up As Part Of A Bengals QB Carousel?
by JasonB on Feb 14, 2011 10:00 AM EST in Philadelphia Eagles News
CBS NFL analyst and former Cincinnati Bengal Solomon Wilcots has an idea for how his old team can solve its QB crisis this offseason. Carson Palmer has publicly demanded a trade, put his house up for sale, and appears to have every intention to leave. Of course, given his play in recent years... the Bengals might not be too upset to see him go. So what should the Bengals do? According to Wilcots, trade for Kevin Kolb. Here's his plan. The Bengals take their fourth overall pick in the upcoming draft and send it to the Philadelphia Eagles for their pick at 23 in the first round plus quarterback Kevin Kolb and the Eagles. At the same time trade Palmer to the Seattle Seahawks for their pick at 25 in the first round. Presto! The Bengals get a starting quarterback in Kolb and have two first round picks."They (Eagles) will not turn down the fourth overall pick in the draft," said Wilcots. "And the Bengals will not find a player at the quarterback position better than Kevin Kolb in this draft."
The dearth of top QB talent in this draft certainly does play into the Eagles hands. If there was every a year you wanted to have a young QB available for trade, this is a pretty good one. Check after the jump for some analysis on this deal.
Wilcots scenario is an interesting one for all teams involved. For the Eagles, the benefit is obvious. They get the #4 overall pick in the draft, which would be well worth Kolb and the #25 pick. In fact, the Bengals beat writer who interviewed Wilcots for the story even said he'd settled for the Eagles second rounder in the deal. Obviously, the Eagles couldn't make that deal fast enough.
For the Seahawks, it's a bit dicey. The thought here is that Pete Carroll would like be re-united with his ex USC QB Palmer. The question is whether Palmer is still worth a first round pick? Probably not. He'll turn 32 next season and really hasn't been an elite QB in 3-4 seasons. Ever since that awful injury in the playoffs against the Steelers, he really hasn't looked the same. Still, he was an elite QB, he's not that old, and a change scenery that gets him out of Cincy really could do him good. And even if Seattle sends a second round pick or a package similar to what the Eagles got for McNabb, this is still a good deal for the Bengals.
For the Bengals, they clear up the Palmer situation and get themselves a QB of the future. Plus, if it all shakes out like Wilcots planned they'd end up with two first round picks as well. It would be a quite a coup for a Bengals team who has never shown that kind of ingenuity. In fact, if a deal like this happened, it would almost have to have been initiated by one of the other teams involved.
It's an interesting idea and one that could truly be a win-win-win. That said, how often to do deal like this every happen in the NFL? Almost never...

The thing about Peterson is that it'll also put paying Asomgwa a boatload of jingle to rest. Peterson is a special CB that could be a Pro Bowler for 10 yrs.Just give me ONE before I go!

I am a big LSU fan and I am here to say that Patrick Peterson is good, but go back and watch the Alabama game. He had trouble with Julio Jones and that does not translate real well for me. Great size and speed, but I am not sure he warrants the top 5 talk he is getting. I would love to see one of the D lineman or Von Miller. That being said, Peterson would make the return game scary fast.

In the For What It Is Worth Category......
The Vikings play by play guy was on today and said from what he hears around the campus it is 100% the Vikes don't go after McNabb, Palmer, V Young. He also said he is 90% certain they won't go after Kolb and that he is 75% certain they pick QB with the #12 and start him day one.
He also said they will FT Chad Greenway.Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
Hope is not a strategy

"Football Outsiders" likes Kevin Kolb, suggest Miami as a possible new home
by JimmyK on Feb 15, 2011 3:51 PM EST
You need to be an "ESPN Insider" to read the full thing, but Bill Barnwell of Football Outsiders happens to like Kevin Kolb:
Kolb's raw statistics look worse than Vick's -- especially his 3.7 percent interception rate, more than twice Vick's rate of 1.6 percent -- but a lot of that has to do with Kolb's Week 17 start against the Cowboys. That game came with rookie Austin Howard making his first career start at left tackle against DeMarcus Ware, and the Eagles left LeSean McCoy, Jeremy Maclin and DeSean Jackson on the bench. Kolb threw three interceptions, two of which came on Hail Mary passes. Take out that game and the Eagles' pass offense DVOA with Kolb under center was 28.9 percent; with Vick, it was 29.9 percent.Barnwell also chimed in on what he thinks the Eagles could expect in a trade:
Considering Kolb's experience and age, Philly should hope for a haul similar to what the Atlanta Falcons received for Matt Schaub from the Texans. Atlanta picked up two second-round picks and moved up two spots in the first round of that year's draft. With the 23rd pick in the first round, the Eagles don't have an obvious trading partner in need of a quarterback nearby; the closest candidate is the Miami Dolphins, who pick 15th. If the Eagles can move up and get a pair of mid-round picks, they should pull the trigger and consider it a good haul.I think getting hung up on what other QB's were traded for in the past is mostly irrelevant. There are far too many variables (like the number of teams that could be in the bidding, contract details, etc.) that factor in mightily when determining the market for a player. However, I do think he's in the ballpark of what the Eagles should expect to receive, depending on what he considers a "mid-round pick." Does a "pair of mid-round picks" mean a 2 and a 3/4, plus a swap of 1st rounders? If so... sold. Or does it mean a combination of a 3 and something lower? If so, no thanks. Personally, I don't think there's a need to get too cute. I had the Dolphins as the 7th most likely team to deal for Kolb (others have them higher), with Miami simply giving up their 1 (15th overall) straight up.
And yes, CBA, blah blah.

For me, I would love to have Nick Fairley (DT- Auburn) or Patrick Peterson (CB - LSU). Those two would be instant starters on any defense. Fairley crushes pockets and gets to the QB. I'd love to see him in midnight green."Nobody in football should be called a genius. A genius is a guy like Norman Einstein." - Joe Theismann
