I agree...for a UDFA, he became one of the highest scoring kickers in NFL history and was always a totally classy guy...one of my favorites that will be missed. I was hoping they would keep him. Hard to end a 12 year run on good terms unless it's a retirement. I've got Akers name autographed on a football from the first Flight Night, so that will be a way for me to remember him. I may have cursed him a time or two when he missed a big kick, but for the majority of David's career, he was simply "Money".
