  • Where was this shit last year Andy?

Now he wants to change? Or didn't he trust Vick to run it?

Dwayne Bowe: ‘I’m going to lead the league in receptions’

Chief wide receiver Dwayne Bowe on Wednesday predicted that he would lead the NFL next season in receptions and touchdowns and Jamaal Charles would lead in rushing yardage, Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star reports.

Bowe also suggested that the Chiefs would be one of the NFL’s better offensive teams.

“It’s only day two,’’ he said after practice. “Guys are trying their best every day. Every day is not going to be right, but if we can minimize mistakes from yesterday to today and tomorrow, we’ll take another step forward. By training camp, guys will be great.

“When we get in full gear and pads and close to the season, it’s going to be a show to watch.’’

“I’m going to tire a lot of cornerbacks out because we’re going hurry-up offense every day, practicing full speed, fast, hurry-up offense, and that’s something that’s going to catch the defense off guard, and that’s going to open up a lot of big plays down the field for the receivers and for the running game.’’
    "Hey Giants, who's your Daddy?"

Agree. So much flexibility now where before, he was rigidly bound to his offensive philosophy. Even after many fans clamored for some semblance of adaptability.

First this, and he hired Chris Ault too. Seems like he'll be trying to give Chip Kelly some of his own medicine on week three. That, or he is trying to prepare his defense for the same.

Dwayne Bowe: ‘I’m going to lead the league in MISSED receptions’

      Fixed.

ehhh, i'll believe it when I see it.

Every receiver and running back gets convinced by their new head coach that they are going to lead the league in everything.

I'm sure McCoy and DJax are thinking the same thing.

        Proof is in the pudding.

I agree sf, but that's not the point. If he had changed tactics he'd probably still be here. Then again, he's such a lousy game coach I guess I'm glad that he didn't.

Alex Smith certainly showed he was not a disaster and draft bust. However, on a significantly weaker team, will he look the same? Charles is a good RB but surely no AP. Bowe is a very good WR as well. This talk doesn't bother me but mainly b/c it isn't realistic talk.

The 3rd game will be a circus comparing the coaches, the qbs, the top draft picks. The announcers will have a field day.

With the McNabb retirement ceremony at that game, the announcers wont have time to talk in between the repeated airings of "boo'ed at the draft" and "puking in the Super Bowl" clips.
I just hope they also show things like 4th & 26, the 17-second scramble, etc. DMac gave us a lot of good years, and no doubt that superlative era of Eagles football wouldnt have happened without him.

"A leopard can't change its spots" is the phrase that comes to mind for me after reading what Andy Reid is inferred to be doing in Kansas City.

BTW, I think Vick was more effective running the hurry-up offense than running the conventional offense last season.

That is what I have been saying. Vick does best when it's quick and instinctive. If he has to do too much thinking, he gets in trouble. Keep it simple, make it repetitive to where it's natural, and he has a chance. I guarantee you that that is what Chip is thinking.

It certainly makes more sense than the shit Marty Moose and Andy were doing last year.
