Riley Cooper, Cary Williams get into scuffle at practice

Riley Cooper and Cary Williams got into a scuffle at practice that required several players, including Michael Vick, to step in and separate the two, Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Williams had to be forcibly pulled away. The fiery cornerback then walked to a separate field and strolled up and down by himself.

Cooper looked visibly distraught and stayed out of one-on-one drills that involved receivers and defensive backs until DeSean Jackson came over to him. Jackson eventually walked over to Williams and had a conversation.

Cooper was embroiled in controversy in late July when video surfaced of him saying the n-word at a concert. Several players were upset by what he had said, although many stood behind the fourth-year receiver. Cooper took a leave of absence to seek help.

    Nothing to see here.

Cary Williams would fight the ice cream truck for not having bubble gum ice cream.

Concur. Look no further than the encounter Williams had a few years ago when covering Jackson. Kept shoving, even though they'd drifted out of bounds. IMO it's Williams' M. O. I'm sure there's more footage out there of him scrapping with WRs. Granted, these are teammates. But if that's how Williams does his thing on field, he's bound to do it in practice.

              Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

And in other pressing sports news, Brett Favre has not apologized to Packer fans, Aaron Hernandez remains in jail, Terrell Owens has not been signed and Eagles' fans are just waiting for winter so they can through snow balls at Santa.

Based on comments that Williams was aggressor and Cooper flusterd, I tend to think this is on Williams. I like the fire, but save it for Sunday.

                    Agree again.

Williams has a history of scuffles, which included getting tossed from the first day of the three-day training camp practice sessions with the New England Patriots last month. As a Baltimore Raven last season, Williams was fined for a scuffle with Jackson, and he shoved an official to the ground in the Super Bowl.
