The Dallas Cowboys are using ballet bars to try and avoid injuries

Having already lost linebacker Sean Lee to a torn ACL on the first day of OTAs, the Cowboys are doing everything they can to avoid injuries. 12 players suffered hamstring injuries last season, and to keep that number down in 2014, the Cowboys are turning to ballet.
The team installed ballet bars outside the locker room that players can use to stretch out.
Coach Jason Garrett said he’s willing to try anything if it keeps his players on the field.
    Via the Dallas Morning News:
“We’ve put a big emphasis on addressing, as an organization, some of the injuries that we’ve had. Just an emphasis on stretching, giving our players the opportunity, whether it’s with ballet bars or V-sits or back systems, whatever things we use, we try to help them get into routines that can help them be flexible and avoid some of the injuries we’ve had.”
The Cowboys aren’t the first team to turn to ballet. Pittsburgh nose tackle Steve McLendon started doing ballet as a senior in college. Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, meanwhile, has lost more than 10 pounds doing yoga.

We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

Came across this pic of Cowboy Free Agent hopeful Gordon Bonemuncher wearing one of the new Dallas warmup outfits.
Bonemuncher, who hopes to make the roster as a tight end, couldn't be more enthusiastic about the Dallas decision to incorporate ballet in the training regime.

When asked by a reporter if the outfits weren't maybe just a bit too tight in
the personal area Bonemuncher replied, "Not at all! It helps to bring out the savage in me."
