Thanks Tino!!! I suck at this computer stuff. We pick her up next Monday at 9 weeks old. My wife is so thrilled and I'm excited too! It was pretty hard on us loosing Gren just before Christmas but you guys were all so great so I asked Dicky to post this for me. She's a mini dachshund and will only be about 10-12 lbs when fully grown. I look pretty funny with her as I'm 6'4" and 230 but I don't give a crap. These wiener dogs are precious!

Thanks for the nice comments guys. We're leaving in a few minutes to go spend the night in Plainfield Ct. and pick her up tomorrow. We're also a little nervous because we have to take her from her mother and siblings. It's a lot different than getting a dog from a pet store or a rescue center where you show up and you're the cavalry. Right now this dog is in "puppy heaven" with a terrific family taking care of her.

Don't worry 60. I was in the exact same boat in October and had the same thought about removing our little guy from his family. He was a bit unsure the first few minutes but when we started playing with him it was all good. A day or two in and you would never have known he hadn't been with us since birth. It comes down to the same advice a friend gave me before my wedding - 'Just give her a lot of love and attention and she'll be your best friend forever!'

                          Popper,

I'm thinking that by this time you are probably at the breeders getting ready to take your Moxie home.

Congratulations to you and Sher and best of luck with the little hot dog.

Thanks guys. When we drove up to the breeder's house she was playing with her sister and having a ball. Two minutes after we left (11:00 AM) she started crying for about 15 minutes ( I really thought about taking her back!) but it felt like 15 hours LOL! She began bonding with my wife about a half hour into the trip and she's been great since (1 1/2 hour drive)! After playing with her for a couple hours after we got home she's fast asleep. I think that she's pretty happy right now, all 3 1/2 lbs. of her! Tonight might be tough but we've got our fingers crossed. It's been a busy day for her.
