2 Doug Pederson’s sheilding of his players is a little much

Pederson laid the “father figure” on a little thick after Josh Huff’s arrest when a boilerplate statement about reviewing all the facts and not rushing to judgement immediately after his arrest, yada yada. He looked bad when they released him the next day. This week, he coddled Dorial Green-Beckham, who is deservedly facing the same criticism he got in Tennessee for playing lazy. There’s a not so fine line between not criticizing your players through the media and coddling, and Pederson has been on the wrong side of it with his worst producing unit.

DGB plays like a 220 lb Pinkston on valium
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

If he only had the heart of James Thrash to go with that body.

          Seriously.

As far as Doug is concerned, one of the most important element in coaching is knowing who needs a pat on the back, and who needs a kick in the ass. It's hard to tell from afar, but it sure seems like Beckham and Agholor need a solid kick in the ass.

I don't know if DGB will ever get it. He reminds me so much of DRC. They have no idea what their coaches are talking about when they are criticized for being soft or nonchalant. I don't know that Aggie is even that good. He's got talent but can't get open and he's not a physical guy. I guess that it's not his fault that he got drafted in the first round. He's a #3 or 4 guy. We have a lot of those lol.

It's not difficult to see why TN gave up on DGB after one season. I have little hope he will ever be anything but lazy bad. He has no desire to play football.

You can get almost anyone in the world to excel. Almost. You have to find the thing that stirs them. Maybe you befriend them, maybe you kick their ass, maybe you challenge them, maybe you enlist their family every once in awhile you run into someone who has no heart. You have to wonder how he made it through college
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
                Hope is not a strategy
                RIP

We all need to stop believing anything that the media puts out there , quote or not, as if was really true. I don't care what almost any coach "sez". We really don't know what Pederson is "really" doing or saying to DGB. They/we booed Mike Schmidt for years cause we don't think he was playing hard.... look how that turned out.

The media just told us Sproles was the number 1 running back. I think Pederson is trying to master Bellichek talk.

How many WRs not named Matthews had a catch today ? Aggy for 3 yards and who else ?

Sproles and Ertz had a bunch I think. Matthews again choked at game time. To me he's serious trade bait if we could snag a real #1.
