My son and I attended several years. One year, he was maybe 10, he asked Huge Douglas for his autograph. Douglas was walking towards the locker room. He told Rob to come get it. Rob looked at me, I said you heard the man. Rob took off after him and so did 4-5 other boys. Security swept in quickly lol. Never did get that autograph though he did get quite a few others.

You know Ross all of those guys were great with the fans. Hollis Thomas I remember particularly along with Mr. Hands Freddy Mitchell. Of course Freddy loved any kind of attention. I remember Childress always working with Freddy after practice for one thing or another. He was really a talented guy if he could ever get it together. I remember the huge playoff game he had right after Owens got hurt, and of course 4th and 24.

Couldn't agree more. Those camps got soooooo many people involved and excited. Also the team was always competitive so that added to the frenzy.

the bigger , better NFL doesn't want you to get that close to their stars anymore. I was always amazed that at 5'11 290 I was a dwarf along side of Tra Thomas. That was one big mofo
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

To tell you the truth I liked going to camp a lot more than to games. You were right on top of the players and could hear the coaches and players if you were up close enough. Plus I finally got to have a few beers with a good friend!
