Eagles Inactives: Trey Burton, Beau Allen out vs. Bears

By Dave Zangaro | NBC Sports Philadelphia November 26, 2017 11:35 AM
The Eagles are without Beau Allen (knee) and Trey Burton (back) for Sunday's game against the Bears.
Both entered the weekend listed as questionable and are inactive.
Without Burton, the Eagles have just two tight ends active. While nothing is likely to change for Zach Ertz, Brent Celek could see an expanded role.
Without Allen in the lineup, rookie Elijah Qualls is active for the first time since the Arizona game. He has played just 50 snaps all season.
Joining Allen and Burton on the inactive list are: Nate Sudfeld, Marcus Johnson, Wendell Smallwood, Dannell Ellerbe, Will Beatty.
With Johnson down, Shelton Gibson is active for the first time in his career. Gibson, a fifth-round pick out of West Virginia, had a terrible training camp but still made the active roster. He has been behind Johnson throughout the season.
Steven Means is also active for the first time since the Carolina game. He has just eight defensive snaps all season.
Ellerbe and Beatty have another week under their belts and have been learning their new schemes but are still inactive. This is their second week with the team.
Bears inactives: QB Mark Sanchez, WR Joshua Bellamy, DB DeAndrew Houston-Carson, DB Bryce Callahan, LB Danny Trevathan, OL Tom Compton, DL Robertson-Harris.
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.
