An unexpected laser from 15 feet away isn't going to get intercepted very often MM. He's in position to make plays anyway. He's all over the field too and the best linebacker the we've had in a real long time.

Douglas is the heir apparent to Jenkins. I’m convinced of that.... a hybrid CB/FS type that can do a lot of things.

Not sure but the D isn't playing as it was when he was in the lineup. Chemistry?? I don't know but I doubt it. I think the D is kind of tired and I think they kind of went on cruise control due to their press clippings. You see greatness one series and the next they are flat

This D has trouble with quick 3 step drops bc CBs are not all world and pass rush can’t get there. Against Vaggies they did not tackle, so short slants became big gainers. Tackle better, and it’s much harder for the Vaggies to sustain drives. Missing Hicks bc can’t protect the middle. But yes, bad tackling could be tiredness. Pretty similar to the play that almost beat NE where short slant goes for 70. D will get some rest with bye, but unfortunately will have to face a really good team in the playoffs.

The guy the Eagles have missed the past two weeks is Jordan Hicks. Anyone think he drops the 3 balls that Bradham dropped? Not having Hicks has forced Bradham to play the middle and he really isn't a middle linebacker.

Douglas clearly is a good press corner but he gets beat deep to. Corners are going to get beat, they are going to bite on double moves at times. Its how they adjust. I think that Darby lost his share yesterday but also won a few battle including the Pick. Mills won a few also and lost a few. Robinson lost his fair share, got rubbed out on an illegal pick (wasn't called).
The problem is the penalties. I know the one they called illegal contact on Darby and he never even touched the man and if he did it was by a finger nail. Either way, the playoffs those type of calls usually are not made. Which could bode well for this corner group.

I personally feel like Darby is a liability as a tackler and him returning has hurt the overall defense. As crazy as that sounds.

Wow, not a guarantee Hicks catches any of them either-- these guys play D for a reason. And saying that I do think they miss Hicks a lot, but that still isn't the root cause for so many missed tackles by so many guys!
