Disagree and so do his stats and comparisons. The only place LJ lacks is in his ability to block, and even at that he has gotten better, not good, but better.

I've seen no improvement in LJ's blocking. And I HAVE seen him start out the season stong, only to fade or become inconsistent later in the season. Back to back years.

I don't boo the home team at the stadium, unless they really, really screw up royal.

That being said, my issue with LJ is him whining about it. Jeezus man, grow some freakin nads, play football, and STFU.

These clowns certainly don't seem to let an a$$ kicking get under their skin, why should some boos from disgruntled fans bother them?

Do your job on the field LJ, and quit crying about the fans. They're not booing because it's Philly, jackass, they're booing because the team is playing like $hit. Play some good football on your home field, and they'll stop booing.

You might can do without the booing, but I can do without a team that rolls over, gets stomped on, and then smiles afterwards like they just won the goddamned LOTTO.
and while you're at it...reflect a minute on the fact that maybe, just maybe the attitude that it's ok to boo if the team loses, creates a tough place for these guys to play. Just maybe it has something to do with the difficult time the team has winning home games. Don't stop at outlining the losses at home over the last two years. Reflect back on the five playoff loses at HOME since 1980...(Giants, Skins, Rams, Bucs, and Panthers) then look at the Phillies...lost three home games in the 83 series, 2 home games in the 93 series.... TOUGH PLACE TO PLAY? Simple psychology tells you that athletes will not perform well in this sea of adolescent type anger and derision. Chet Walker had it right about we Philly fans...we give up the home field advantage. The other team is just as competitive as your team and might just win. Good sports congratulate the winners and move on.
Sounds like fans who get angry need something else to fulfill them in life besides watching sports... Sports to them is like a line of coke to a junkie, they need a win in a life of losses, and if they don't get it they get mean.
Nothing wrong with disappointment...but anger doesn't make sense in light of the fact that we're talking entertainment, not death and taxes. It's a lot harder to play than watch. Silence when the team fails is a strong reinforcement...and more couth.

Guess we read/pervcieve/interpret this quote a bit differently-----

Frankly I don't call that whinning or showing somehow that he doesn't have a set of balls or that he needs to STFU.. in fact I think all he is doing is trying to promote the positive and asking the fans to do the same.

            Different perceptions/outlooks I guess.

Bold emphasis on the part of his statement that pissed me off, and that you convienently neglected to include in your quote.

O.K., I've got it now. Philly is the only place where people boo when the team screws up. All those other highly enlightened fans merely sit in subdued, respectful silence when their team screws up. It is only here, where not only do we boo at every indiscretion, but we go so far as to destroy our home field advantage, and create a hostile environment for our players. I understand. Heck, those NY fans weren't actually booing Eli last week. They were so respectfully silent that the microphones were actually picking up the boos in Philly a couple hundred miles away.

and the part you left out.......

"The fans] want a Super Bowl every year, which is understandable in any organization."

Wow he really puts a knockin on the fans.... Please.

You wanna get all upset over a guy speaking the truth and trying to be a little bit positive, then that's on you.

                  Like I said, different perceptions/outlooks I guess.

IMO, what Westy sez is a bit more derisive and negative and tries to paint the fans in a worse/bad light--- but since it's Westy I guess it's ok.
