  • For those who didn't see my comments on PP

Here's what I had to say after the game...

My 10 comments about the game

#1. That was NOT PI against sheldon on the play to Plaxico in the endzone.

#2. McQuarters shoulda gotten a penalty for kicking the endzone marker (but it was hillarious that it hit the cameraman who was focused on Brown)

#3. All the other calls were O.K. (I can see how they could have called the Westbrook pick a PI, but since it wouldn't have effected the play outcome it probably shouldn't have been called)

#4. The O-Line looked great tonight - Andrews is a Monster and Runyan was literally throwing D-Linemen around (shoulda gotten a bunch of holding calls though)

#5. If Dawkins doesn't make the probowl it will be a traveshamockery!

#6. What a recovery on that hold by Dirk Johnson!

#7. Garcia has been impressive, has to be the comeback player of the year (you think someone will give him the chance to start next year?)

#8. Omar Gaither should be the starter at OLB no matter what. He is a beast out there.

#9. Thank God Coughlin forgot how to run the ball. We held them pretty good but he just flat out didn't run anymore.

#10. If we play this way next week we have a legit shot to beat Dallas.

And the 2 players I'm most thankful for

    1. Dawkins - If we had won even one championship this guy would be talked about in the same breath as the greats like Ronnie Lott (my favorite non-eagles player). Great attitude, intensity and the one thing I like about players like him he takes NOTHING for granted. He busts his azz all the time and thats how he can still be the best in the league even as he ages.

    2. Shawn Andrews - He might be my favorite player on the offense. He just oozes character and like Dawkins takes nothing for granted. His interview with D-Gunn after the game was my favorite to see. He seems so passionate about playing this game. He is a MONSTER and possibly the best player on that line tonight.

Finally, GMAN wrote in to Eagles Post Game Live and got his email on the show, which was "All I want for Christmas is T.O.'s 2 front teeth"

Too bad Andrews couldn't have been healthy in 04. You think having him in the Super Bowl would have helped our pass-protection?

It would have helped if he could play center

#1 Sheldon never turned around towards the ball on the PI call. I think that is the only reason that he was called for PI on Burress. While I thought there were a lot of bad calls against the Eagles, I really did not have a real problem with this one.

#7 At this point in his career, I think Jeff would actually prefer being the backup on a good football team, than a starter on a bad one. I think he has even mentioned this publicly.

I had no problem with this penalty. Brown wasn't at all looking for the ball, and was clearly impeding Plaxico from moving down the field. Obvious PI if you ask me.

Yep, Aikman mentioned that during the game. He said some things about Garcia being in the late stages of his career, preferring to be on a team that's a contender even as a backup, etc.

I thought that ball was totally uncatchable. It was far out of bounds. Even far enough that the 6'6 Plax couldn't jump and make a play on it - arm bar, impeding or not. I was going nutzo when they called that.

I thought it was uncatchable as well.

I thought the same thing about that ball being uncatchable, but the talking heads never mentioned it. I thought this was one Aikmans worst broadcasts, he made a lot of mistakes. Generally I think he's one of the better sock puppets on the tube. At least we didn't have to have Theismann and Kornholer ruin the game.

Manning should have thrown lobs to Plaxico every play because the refs would have kept calling it.

One comment that I heard that I wanted to get people's thoughts on was the comment that when Darwin Walker shows up to play he's a menace and the team plays great. When he mentally doesn't show up...we struggle.

I think I really subscribe to this.

I thought that pass was uncatchable too. And Aikman was the worst I've ever heard him.

Now why should McQuarters have gotten a penalty? For celebrating with a prop?

Unsportsman like... With all the crappy calls going against the birds I was LIVID when he did that.

Totally agree! I guessing that Brown got nailed cause he never played the ball.
