  • Soon to be unemployed??(OT)

Have you ever wanted to write THAT letter to your boss? You know, that letter that spelled out everything that was F-ed up about the company, and how fed up you were with it?

Well, I just wrote it. And emailed it. I'm wodering at what time tomorrow my phone is gonna ring. "Mike, can you come down to my office?" LOL!

    Hoo boy.......

      LOL! I don't think so.

At least I kept swear words out of it. Plus after I read it to my wife, she encouraged me to remove the phrase "snake in the grass".

Still, it's gona go over like a fart in church.

what drove you to do this...intentions are sometimes difficult to interpret through email. we fired a lady last summer for just this sort of situation...although her email was short and deliberately undermining to the ownership of the company. it was actually grandstanding since she sent it to EVERYONE in the organization. it was suicide by cop in the workplace

I ONLY sent it to my immediate boss. He can pass it around or keep it to himself. Fact of the matter is, I work with a bunch of crooks who backstab each other. Some of these guys have screwed me over recently (remember my drunken rant a couple of months ago?), followed by two similar occurences this week, I am tired of quietly goin along to get along.

So I named names and made him aware that I knew about these things, and that I suspeced he did too, and did nothing about it. I told him that he needed to make a ruling on these issues, and that I would abide it, but that I was fed up with the drama and bad politics. Ii question the ethics of the people I work with, and I said that I hoped that he saw what I saw.

          We'll see.........

I'll tell you tomorrow what comes of it.

BTW - This is a recent email form my boss when I played ball on one of these issues.

"Thanks Mike! What goes around comes around. Your attitude is what we look for in building a successful team. I will talk to Sean and come up with how best to service this customer."

And yet I get screwed again.......

Briefly invigorating......yet unnerving all the same. I hate that I had to do this, but I'm tired of feeling like I'm taken for granted. I made a LOT of money for this company last year, and a lot more that I didn't even get credit for.

Like I said Big Fella, I know you by now. You wouldn't have written it if you knew that you couldn't get away with it. If not, you'll bullshit your way outta it. Relax.

Were you prepared to lose your job when you wrote it? I would bet that you feel rather secure with your job to send this email

Losing my job is not my goal. Leveling the playing field and ironing out the rules is. If it happens, so be it, I don't think I'd be out of work long. So I can either try to improve my current situation, or find another road...
