Routine draft- nothing special for Howie considering they came into the draft with four of the top 84 picks.
you are supposed to hit on your first round pick when you are in the top twelve. I really like the Smith pick but not impressed that they had to give up pick 84, esp when dealing with Dallas but yes he hit on his first pick.
you make your hay in rounds two three and four. That is where you have to hit on players. Rounds five six and seven you are hoping to hit on guys you think have growth potential.
I don’t think Howie hit in rounds two three and four. Six and seven yes. I think there are a couple of players that can fill the back end of the roster. Of course the birds are full of back end of the roster guys already. But he did not make a splash where you need to make a splash. He is counting on next year. I would t count on him doing any better. If there is a fire Howie fundraiser let me know where to contribute
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
    Hope is not a strategy

I give this draft a solid B. B for Boom or B for Bust. Outside of Gainwell and McPherson that is really what they took were a bunch of players who could be boom or could be bust. Whether is severe size problems, whether its major injury concerns there is just too much to say this is a great draft at this time.

. Now who knows, after two years Dickerson turns into an all pro center and is healthy. Smith puts on 20lbs of muscle and catches 100 balls , McPherson is a solid starting corner and Gainwell is the feature back then its a good draft. Especially if the rest of the more rotational guys they took contribute.

Lets put it this way we all put our trust in a GM that most of us thought should have been fired before the league year started, a medical team that hasn't gotten anything right for years. I mean how can we be that confident in this draft. Just can't be at this point.

Were from Philly F in Philly no one likes us we DON'T CARE!

The Dickerson pick makes or breaks this draft in my mind. A few of the later round picks will be good players and so will devonta smith. If Barnore, JOK, or someone else is a stud and Dickerson flames out we got it wrong again. Also... I can’t believe we didn’t do more at LB early. Jabrill Cox going to the Cowboys was painful. Cox was my favorite LB in this draft. He is going to be really good.

Not exited about draft at all. I think Dallas got better with Vanderbilt each, Smith, Parsons and cox at LB, they will be something. Giants added a lot of weapons this off season. We survived an off-season and draft. I really hope Smith pans out and Dickerson gets healthy. A year to sit and learn is my issue. Who is he beating out?

I don't know why everybody is so worried about a Heisman Trophy winner in the toughest defensive conference in college football.

I think the only concern is how does his body hold up, over three preseason games, 17 regular season games, and potentially some playoff games. College seasons aren't as long so those players are more likely to thrive there. He could be a player who is great in September/October, but less so in January, even if he stays healthy.

Really though, he's already an extreme outlier -- doubt anyone his size has dominated the SEC like he has. If his legs are the skinny part keeping his weight down, maybe his upper body is enough to withstand the hits, which is where most will come. NFL rules are trending towards punishing the cheap shots, and stopping really big hits, which could help him. And some players have a knack for avoiding the big hits (like Reagor, I won't complain if he is quick to go out of bounds rather than fight for yards). Just a unique player in that regard where it's impossible to forecast really.

This is pretty much my take also.
              * LOVE Devonta Smith
              * OK with Dickerson, but he is definitely boom or bust. That guy has stud written all over him IF he can stay healthy.
              * Really don't like the Williams pick. I have seen him play twice and nothing really stood out about him against mid-major competition. I feel he might be one of those combine guys that flame out.
              * I also really wanted Jabrill Cox and was disappointed they let Dallas have him.
              * A good late move was trading a 6th and 7th to Washington for their 5th in 2022. We don't need more wasted 6th and 7th round picks this year.
              * The rest I don't know enough about to even form an opinion. I do wish there was another CB and LB in there somewhere.

I'm thinking that they are going to try him on the edge. He seems more suited out there.

60 I agree on Williams. He is really athletic and quick and the Birds love size and strength at DE. They value that more than freakish run the edge type of athleticism. Williams could be a more athletic Vinny Curry who can kick inside in obvious passing downs.
