  • Moorehead On Fulgham

“The four weeks showed me and everybody a lot,” Moorehead said. “With that, it also comes with the responsibility of understanding that defenses will start scheming towards you to stop you. For a young player, it took a little bit for him to understand that sometimes. Then, he got nicked up a little bit and didn’t complain, but he had to play through it. As the season got going, it wore on him a little bit.”

Moorehead said that he still has a lot of confidence in Fulgham, saying that he is looking forward to seeing him this season, knowing that he has the talent to be a productive wide receiver in the league.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receivers coach Aaron Moorehead spoke Tuesday about what Travis Fulgham went through last season.

This speaks to the overall lack of consistent production of the entire WR corps IMO, as no one else seemed able to pick up the slack when teams' DCs began scheming against Fulgham.

      And this...

Here, Moorehead speaks on practice habits and Alshon sapping Fulgham's reps. There were whispers last season about Fulgham coasting in practice at his other NFL stops, hence his availability for the Eagles to snag in the first place

".....Alshon was coming back from injury. He had been practicing for three or four weeks, and just hadn’t had a chance to play very much. As he started getting healthy, there was ability to put him and Travis out there together, and there was ability to put them out there separately, and it was important for our football team to have the ability to do that.

"I don’t want to say it stunted Travis. I would say it opened his eyes, like, 'Hey look, you better come out here and practice every day like your job is on the line or else someone else can take your job.' As a young player, a second-year player in the league, he was able to take that lesson. I hope he takes it and runs with it in Year 3....."
