Felt TE was a need and thought they were going to address it in the draft. My guess is they didn’t see a pathway to getting a TE that would fit their needs where they are picking.
Even with this signing I think a high end TE is needed to protect against Goedert injury or his age.Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy

He has 82 career starts, including 21 of his 27 games the last two years with the Jets. He had decent receiving years with the Bengals but does seem like blocking is his strong suit. Had an MCL injury late last year, and was on IR for the last 5 games, and was a cap casualty for the Jets. Age 31 so on the downside of his career, but if other TEs don't show much in the way of blocking chops he could take someone's spot.Originally posted by Eagle60 View PostComment

Yea he is a big dude that can block. Stoll wasn’t a guy they threw to and I imagine The U will be the same. Blocking guy who gets a pass every few gamesWait until next year is a terrible philosophy
