  • Chris Long's podcast quote on his 'Green Light' podcast.

“I’m going to tell my grandkids about Nick Sirianni one day,” Long said on his Green Light podcast. “You should’ve seen him. He was like if you grabbed somebody out of the stands, six Miller Lites deep, and were like, ‘Go coach your heart out,’ for good and for bad.”

And if you watch any kind of team tape, Nick is absolutely loved by the team. The team is something special. As much as some of you think his team doesn't appreciate the risks, there is ZERO evidence of anything but flat out admiration for Nick. The Captains or leaders went to Nick about the offense, if they had a problem with riverboat Nick, I'm sure it would be addressed
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

You have to protect players from themselves. They always want to go for it. They always want to play when they're hurt. He's supposed to be the adult in the room. There is a difference between aggressive and reckless.

I listened to Jason Avant on the postgame and he said no doubt all the players were saying go for 2 and go for it and as the coach you have to be the voice of reason. But players always want to go for it.

Nick has cost us one game already with that shit though. It needs to end this week or he needs to be gone.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.
