  • Don't you think we should give Saquan a break?

I heard he got beat up pretty good on Sunday and I just don't see how he can keep up the pace that he is on now. We certainly can't give him 30 touches again like we did against the Jaguars. How do you think the eagle should handle it?

He’s averaging a little over 22 touches per game. Last game was a lot. But we need him. The question is how does he feel?

I’d certainly give him a break when we can.

Lane said they all felt like they should have put 40 pts on the Jags. He said it will be discussed. I think we will see some games where Barkley gets some breaks. He needs some time to rest.

Certainly have to take into account what he feels. RBs all want the ball so you have to protect him from himself so you have to talk to the RB coach who should be close to him and know how he really feels.
It is a long season and you want him to be strong in game 15 16 17 so yea you need to find some games where you can rely on Gainwell and maybe even use Shipley some. But Barkley is your workhorse so expect to see him with the ball the majority of the time.
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
        Hope is not a strategy

One of the things I like to look at are who is tackling him. The weight of a a few lineman is different than the DB's. He is getting hit beyond the line a lot and that toll is much less. That being said, I mentioned this earlier in another post. This is why Nick is such and asshat. We should have had that game in the bag by Q4. Guys could have sat and we should have coasted to a win. He is putting guys in situations they simply don't need to be in with stupid decisions.

Yes... I think Shipley should get some carries. Gainwell is just not good enough. Shipley has a similar skillset. Not nearly as good as Saquon but the guy has young legs, some speed and power, plus wiggle.

I'd like to see Shipley in the game for 3-5 carries a game when it matters.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

They should all get carries against Dallas. They are likely to put 250 yards up on them.

Maybe. But they are getting Parsons back and it looks like even Deron Bland. That's 2 big pieces on the D.
