There will be lots of calls for it to be banned again next off season after the nonsense yesterday with missed false starts and missed TD calls. I told wife yesterday that the refs will come out against it be cause it is too hard to officiate and that will be the death blow. Today I heard a number of radio shows say same thing. My ONLY hope is that if they ban this they ban ALL pushing and pulling. If an O lineman runs into the pile to push it over the first down marker it should be a penalty.

It's funny that they never mentioned that our quarterback squats 600 lbs And maybe that's the reason our team can do it and others can't. All that pushing downfield is a real joke. 2 yard runs all of a sudden turn into 9 Yard runs."Hey Giants, who's your Daddy?"

I’ve seen Josh Allen try the push and he looked like a smacked ass. I saw McCarthy try it Sunday night and he looked like a fool. I am absolutely certain every team
has looked at it in practice but figured out they can’t do it.Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy

I admit I kind of hate the play. I feel like the eagles might just be fine without it.
what I find funny is that it’s hard to officiate. Why? The only difference between it and a QB sneak is the push. Is that what makes it hard to officiate? If so. Why?
Play by play guys are the ones whining. Why? I still don’t get it. Every team can run the play. The only way to really outlaw it is if every game was filled with 6 or more rush pushes and it ruined the flow. Right now it still just reeks of whining from some who just don’t like the Eagles.

I'm sick of the constant whining. Like Schefter saying the Chiefs lost the game when the league didn't ban the tush push. Yep. Reid goes for it on fourth down on his own end. Butker misses a long field goal. Kelce muffs a pass for a TD that gets picked off and returned to midfield. But, the tush push is why the Chiefs lost. Just shut up already.

I am ready for them to ban it only because the standard line is that the Eagles suck and they only win because of the Tush Push. Let's just line up in a standard formation with Jalen under center and smash it right at them behind JM and Dickerson. Run some other options off of that.
Maybe if the NFL would stop allowing Mahommes to run a guy downfield, throw it up, and get a pass interference or roughing call when he needs it to extend the drive. Or maybe if the league would call DPI as they missed clearly on an AJ and DeVonte play Sunday. Maybe if they'd call players like Pickens and CeeDee with their hands all over the DB on routes and because the DB puts their hands back on the WR that is pass interference...
If they'd figure out all of that crap and start calling it. Maybe I'd feel more comfortable with them banning the one play that the best team in the league has a clear advantage on because we are the best team in the league.
All that said... this is the last year for it. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised to see an emergency meeting and it banned in the next few weeks.
Clearly, from what I saw from writers like Florio and Schefter.... they don't like the Eagles. We are the team nobody likes now. Actually we've always been that team. Now it is on steroids because we are the best team and defending Super Bowl champs. So yep... it's going to get banned.
Fine... we will beat your ass an other way.You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

Here is my take on the Tush Push. Its probably the greatest play designed over the past 30 plus years. All done by a coach that nobody gives credit to, executed by a QB nobody gives credit to and think is an average QB in the league, and a team that is suddenly the team everybody hates.
All of the takes are sour grapes. The play can be stopped. Just look at when other teams run it. They are not as successful as the Eagles. I wonder why. Its not because one time the Eagles "" false started one time after slowing the tape down. Also lets not forget three of the Chiefs offensive lineman lined up in the neutral zone on that play but nah that not the point. Its one time out of 7 times they ran in on Sunday they false started.
Maybe just Maybe they can't stop it because the Eagles have one of the biggest offense lines that is both big and athletic, maybe its because we have both a QB and RB who squat 600lbs?
The officiating can't officiate is the newest battle cry for the crybabies. Welp then you need better officials. I will say the officials won't say that if you ask them. Lining up is lining up. You can see that easy if you are an official. If you can't see daylight between the ball and the defensive lineman, Flag lined up in the neutral zone should be flagged every time. The fact that is not is more the NFL trying to keep the play down. Eagles false starting should be just as easy to see. Again you are looking down the line, if the Eagles come into the neutral zone before the ball is snapped FLAG. Yes they missed the TD on the play before that, in fact we all should be complaining about that. You can clearly see Hurts hand over line with the ball in it. The TV replays showed it but why did New York not over turn the call? So they can start this narrative and say see we miss with the Eagles to.
Overall I think Lurie should start be in out in front on this. He needs to be more vocal in his defense of it. This is Philly we don't go down without fighting. Right now we are just seeing crying from other teams. I think Nick was great with it yesterday. Saying we have to be perfect: we have a bullseye on our back from the league (is basically what he is saying) The fact it took 4 years for them to finally find a play that the Eagles may have (and I am still not sure because it was super slowed down) jumped offsides shows us a ton.
Giving up is not an option. Its a play that gives us an advantage because of US, because of our oline, our QB and it should never be outlawed just because "" they can't stop us. Meanwhile its stopped when other teams try to run it.Were from Philly F in Philly no one likes us we DON'T CARE!

With no pushing allowed; It's not that different than a QB sneak. Only everyone knows its coming. I'd like to see them mix it up a bit this year and find a few run/pass options from it. I really think they could break a big play on 3rd down by running a quick end around (they did this once las year) I also think they can have pass option running to the wide side of the field. Make it such that it becomes a formation and not the issue it is. With super slow motion, they are going to find people moving. The line is moving at the snap count and not the ball movement. Knowing the count and that anticipation is one of the factors as to why it works. I like smashing it down opponents throats and like the play. Its not a safety issue. There is far greater risj lining a 300 lb lineman in the backfield and allowing them to crash into the line as a lead blocker. Everyone hates what they cannot imitate and cannot stop.

I’ve been disappointed in that for a couple years kyfred. I am certain they could have at least three options off that formation and it would out a big in the D’s ear and would make the push that much easier. I’m certain they know that so I wonder if it has just become an ego thing to ram it down a teams throatWait until next year is a terrible philosophy
