  • Let's Keep Up With Each Other (OT)

Hey fellas. We hadn't heard from Taz in a while and that got me worried. This is my Eagles family.

We all know we lost Fresh and that's been 8 years maybe.

And we lost MD a few years ago. That was out of the blue.

    Tino... you go MIA sometimes.

I just wanted to stress that if you go missing for a while on this board it gets noticed. Many of us have been here for more than 20 years. Many of us are friends on social media now. Some of us are friends in real life.

If something happens to me fellas, my wife knows to come on here and let you guys know. I'm just 53 but you never know.

    Everyone stay safe.

    Fly Eagles Fly.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

I will be 53 in December. Don't post nearly as often as in the past but as Leo said in the Wolf of Wallstreet: "I'm not F***ing leaving!"

I know people are super private but I’d be willing to keep a list of phone numbers.

btw all you over-50s, get your shingles vaccine!

I have been so busy lately that I’m guilty for not being here as much as I have been in the past. We lost my sister-in-law in June to cancer. She was 49. I mention that to put a point on AW’s post. Let’s make sure we all check in periodically guys.

Life has been lobbing shit grenades my way, but losing people close to me so rapidly was the final nudge into retirement. Best thing ever, there's a lot to be said for not having to be anywhere. Guys save and invest, retire as soon as you possibly can, slow down and actually live. And for Pete's sake stay in touch and let's get this site back to something close to the early days. Go Birds !!
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

I am 64 now. Very active, fit and have a great diet. Thought that I was indestructible as long as I stayed in great shape. 4 months ago I found out that my Kidneys were failing and getting close to the point where they can't recover.

It scared the hell out of me and other than sports related injuries this was the first real medical scare that I have had.

Fortunately, they found the cause and things have stabilized. But, it was eye opening and now I don't want to waste a single day while I still have my health.

I lived to see 2 Eagles SB wins. I was starting to think that I would never see 1.

Juk… sorry to hear that. And I agree with MM. I’m going to slow down at least a bit soon and live life.
