    Initial thoughts...

    1. Jalen didn't play great but he didn't play bad either. The throw to AJ that was a completion was a great throw. That was where AJ could catch it. The second throw to AJ that was CLEAR DPI was a great throw also. How TF do the refs miss that. Jalen also made a great throw to DeVonte on a crosser I thought and the throw to AJ was excellent when he stepped up in the pocket. The catch by DeVonte that was taken away was crazy to me. There was not wobble or anything of that ball. DeVonte caught it. And then DeVonte should have caught that ball on the third and long play at the end of the game. He might have been interfered with. So again... IMO Jalen didn't play bad. He played about a B-minus game in my mind. There were 50-60 yards of passing offense he missed out on because of "drops" or DPIs that were missed. I know the DeVonte and AJ one-handed catches are tough but if you are elite you make those catches.

    2. The second half officiating was an absolute joke. That was not DPI on Quinyon. It just wasn't. It was a joke call designed to give the Bills a first down. Again, the officials have to be a part of the game. And then on the second long completion #14 is running over Quinyon with his arms outstretched. He is creating separation via OPI. No call. And then he didn't even catch the damn thing. That ball clearly hit the ground. On the final touchdown, #14 again runs a clear pick play and takes out the defender... NO CALL. The broadcast didn't even mention it. That was a clear OPI. We get called for that 5x a game. How did they miss that? The missed DPI on AJ. Maybe there was DPI on the DeVonte catch down the near sideline late in the game. Jalen Phillips was blatantly held on the long pass over the middle late in the game. No call. And the icing on the cake was Jalen getting wrecked out of bounds and no call. What was funny about the OPI at the goalline and the Jalen missed Personal Foul was the broadcast didn't even mention it. This to me is why the games looked rigged to keep them close. We were about to blow them out yesterday but the NFL gets involved in my opinion.

    3. This defense is really starting to look like the defense that pulverized teams in the playoffs. We can get A gap pressure with speed and power. That is such a difference maker. Hunt and Smith come off the edge with agility. Phillips can really get pass rush and maintain leverage. We miss Dean I think. He is a great blitzer. Cooper DeJean can be counted on to move all around the defense and play multiple positions. We can win the Super Bowl if we just get some offense.

    4. The play calling has to improve. I know I sound like a broken record but there is no creativity in the run game at all. We should hold a sign up that says... "we are running to the right." Just when I think maybe it is improving we watch the second half yesterday.

    5. Jake got a lot of confidence out of that game.

Agreed they actually were playing 11 within 6 yards of the LOS up on the WR, darling us to beat them with the pass almost the entire 2nd half. Extremely tough to change the play in that atmosphere. But they needed to do that.
This is where I have issues, they attempted 7 passes in the second half, 5 of which were on 3rd downs. Not just 3rd but 3rd and long because the offensive line was getting whopped. They needed to pass on first down to soften up the coverage (which was extremely handsy all day and no one call on Buffalo but I regress). I get they had the lead in crappy conditions, they want to try and establish the run game but it wasn't working. Maybe they should have tried Bigsby more, maybe a run to the outside. How about a boot leg with Hurts, a mis direction pitch out, a delayed run. It was the same formation almost every time. Spread them out and try to run. Its was just extremely conservative and once they went conservative they had no answers to try and get aggressive again. My biggest issue is they went conservative too soon. They needed one more score in that game even if is was another field goal.

Lets face it over the past 5 weeks they have played games in a torrential downpour, several games of 40 plus mph winds. The conditions were just not there for a high scoring game. That said they had to do more than 13 points, The offensive line, partially Jurgens has not been good. Its beyond missing Lane. I know they just gave him a contract but I think they need to move on from Jurgens in the offseason. He simply is getting beat and beat by no names way too much. Simply swim moves, not sliding his feet. I really have no idea how he got into the Pro Bowl. The Tackle Guards on both sides are struggling with stunts to. That is on King Stoutland, he needs to coach them up better on their switches. All of this is causing quick pressure or TFL's in the run game.

Not enough credit has been given to Carter blocking the extra point yesterday. That turned out to be the play of the game. If Buffalo hits that they tie the game in the 4th and we likely lose in OT.

My biggest issue yesterday was watching the offense collapse YET AGAIN in the second half. It’s absolutely crystal clear that Patullo isn’t able to make adjustments on the fly. When the opposing defense makes changes at the half, he isn’t able to counter them. He simply isn’t ready to be an OC. I’m begging the Eagles to bring Frank Riech in as a consultant to help fix this. If they don’t get KP some help we have very little chance to go deep in the playoffs.

They Beat the Rams on two blocked field goals too. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing, but I know you can't win consistently by depending on that happening.

I have seen enough of Nick Sirianni, and Kevin Patullo. They stink out loud. There is no doubt in my mind that this team is winning in spite of them, not because of them. And then Sirianni strutting down the tunnel with his chest propped out. GTFOH. You got lucky twice, numbnutts. Yea, you won. But, you won because Sean McDermott is a stupid fucking idiot who didn't take you, your anemic offense, and your gassed defense(because of your anemic offense) to overtime. And, because Josh Allen missed a throw that he easily converts nine out of ten times.

If you had told me that an offense with Jalen Hurts, AJ Brown, Devonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, Saquan Barkley, and a better than average offense line would net 17 yards of offense in an entire half, I'd have called Bullshit loudly, but they did it. 17 YARDS. They punted on every single drive in the second half. For God's sake, Andy Reid, on his absolute worst day, calling 25 pass plays in a half, in a gale, with McNabb having an off day when he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn from 10 feet wasn't that inept.

This is not an outlier. It is coaching. We've seen this story repeat time and time again, but this is the worst so far. Anyone saying one single word about the defense shouldn't have given up those drives needs to sit down and shut up. If the offense puts together one sustained drive, and just gets a FG, 3 fucking points, this game is never in doubt. You mean to tell me this offense, with these players, can't even manage a fucking FG in a half??

Coaching matters. Just look at Jaxson Dart's regression the moment they fired Daboll. These offfensive coaches, Sirianni included aren't fit to run a high school program. I know the elements were a factor, and yada yada, but that was absolutely pathetic.

I do not believe in this team going forward. The talent is there, but the offensive coaches are clearly not up to the task. Period. I'm sorry, but anyone who thinks otherwise right now is lying to themselves.

Sorry, not going to be negative until I see how this all plays out. For now, just win baby.
I thought the offensive game plan and execution in the first half was really good. It was obvious that they didn’t want Hurts running in this game and are definitely saving some things for the playoffs.
The second half play calling was ridiculously bad. They are at their best when they spread the D out and give Hurts enough time to make checks at the line.
Hopefully we get Lane back at 100% for round 1 because that will make a huge difference.

Ya had me until you gave credit to Daboll. That offense looks the same. Daboll is a tool.

agree that play calling sucks. Everything we do is way too hard. Watched quite bit of Pats vs Jets. I know the Jets suck. But I just love the play calling of the Pats. Simple bunches. Easy throws. Then I watch our O and it all looks so difficult. Oline can’t block. Yet every play expects them to be amazing. Majority of throws expects great catches. It’s hard to watch. I know Hurts is average. But let’s not make it so hard for him and the whole offense.

the crazy thing is, the defense is good enough to make a real run. Jake needs to make FGs and offense just has to be average.

the only possible outcomes are 1) we win the Super Bowl or 2) we don’t and fire KP. Anything short of 1 and the fan base will revolt if they don’t fire him. Lurie and Howie know that.

Pretty sure that would come from the owners -- it's the owners who vote on that stuff. So he has to toe the line, and even be the public face of it. Matt LaFleur is in the same position.

time to let Sydney go. He’s just a penalty waiting to happen on STs and just is not a starting safety in this league

I watched a breakdown of the 8 Jalen throws in the second half. Devonte caught that ball and he should have caught the ball down the sidelines. Jalen didn’t play great but there weren’t many guys open. The route combinations don’t work. We are overcoming KP

I think it's time to face reality, The offense isn't going to happen. They've had a whole season to figure it out so how could anybody reasonably think that it's going to happen in one week?

I’m not sure why you’re saying it’s too late for that. I’m not talking about installing a new offense, just getting another set of experienced eyes out there. Patullo seems incapable of making adjustments when the defense adapts to his game plan. Bringing in another offensive consultant is definitely the right move. Someone who can help him see what changed and come up with a plan to adapt to it. Keep the same plays. Don’t modify the playbook. Just learn which plays to call to counter the new . It’s definitely not too late for that and my fear is, that without doing that, the offense will continue to sputter and with it our entire season.

It's too late to change coordinators. You're talking about Patullo no longer making the play calls, but instead having someone else do it (who may not believe in installed offense anyways). We have been able to overcome KP in stretches. We have to hope that they will call plays more like the first half and the previous couple of games, instead of the second half.

I'm not sure which OCs will be available but hopefully they are lining somebody up. If we do go deep in the playoffs most guys get hired (part of the problem last year, and in 2023).

If they go one and out I can see him being replaced. If they get to NFCCG and play well he will have bought some grace.
Personally I won’t be surprised to see this year go through and no matter the outcome Patullo is back but they bring in a ‘senior’ consultant of some kind who calls the plays. Unorthodox? Absolutely but I don’t think the Sirianni era has been orthodox.
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
                                Hope is not a strategy
