    More and more stats are coming out about how bad the Eagles offense has been. Not just last year and not just Patullo driven. Remember the birds passing game wasn’t all that when Moore was here and they won the SB.
    The birds had two games where the had less than twenty yards in the second half this year. Twenty yards. One TD in 13 offensive possessions. 10 of 11 offensive starters available and in 35th percentile for offensive performance. Bottom half of league for third down conversion rate as examples. Was AJ performance a result of AJ having a bad attitude of him knowing the coaching was bad? Lots of questions. I accept he isn’t going anywhere but I think it worthwhile to look at Sirianni and his offense and culture.
    MD and I debated (maybe argued) scheme vs execution to exhaustion 15-20 years ago. Execution wasn’t good but the Eagles scheme has been roundly criticized this year. Howie needs to look across the spectrum IMM.

      MM... this is why to me the choice is Brian Daboll or Kingsbury. I think KK likes being an OC and not having to put up with the BS of being a head coach. He left coaching altogether remember. Daboll is not going to get another HC job in the NFL unless its Buffalo. He has a close relationship with ownership there. They'd give him another chance. I don't think anyone else would.

      I really like Mike McDaniel but I don't think he would stay.

      Daboll has a relationship with Jalen and Kinsbury likes to throw it around which could keep AJ in the fold because I don't want to take that cap hit.
      You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

        I know that Daboll could be someone to stay for a while. But, I am just not impressed at all with Daboll's resume. His offenses have been awful for most of his career, except for a few highlights (Alabama, Buffalo).

        I was originally hoping for a guy that would stay more than 1 season. But, now I am switching over to just getting the best guy for the job next season. McDaniel might be the most innovative guy out there..Kinsbury would almost have to be an upgrade over what we had. Stefanski would be nice, but he is probably going to be a HC this year.

          My current thought is that I want nothing to do with Daboll. Thought he got way too much credit for Josh Allen. I also thought he seemed like a clown in Hard Knocks. Seemed full of himself. Can’t imagine him and Nick on the sidelines. Big Dom would need a raise for sure.

            Would love to get Stefanski. As OC and assistant coach. Brilliant guy. Leader of men. Got screwed in Cleveland. He will probably end up a head coach somewhere.

              From an outsider I like the Stefanski route. What I would find very interesting is Howie’s conversations with football people around the league. What do they see when they look at the offense? Is it just an execution offense as MD would advocate where my guys are bigger and stronger so we don’t need scheming we just need to impose our will. Who can work with Nick? What do they see as Hurts’ real limitations and who can fix them?

                Let's get back to your original post ND. I don't think the problem was so much the coordinator, but rather it was execution. We can win with Hurts, but we need better play in our offensive line. We were definitely hurt with a loss of Becton and with injuries hurting any kind of continuity. We won a Super Bowl last year because our offensive was terrific. This year they were average.
