Is it me or is the NFC East suddenly a LOT more interesting than it's been in a few years???
"Philly fans are great....It's the only place where you pull up on the bus and you've got the grandfather, the grandmother, the kids and the grandkids - everybody flicking you off. At other stadiums, they give you the thumbs-down. Here, they give you the middle finger.”
— Michael Strahan
"No one likes us, no one likes us, no one likes us, we don’t care, we’re from Philly, F—-ing Philly, No one likes us, we don’t care!”
- Jason Kelce with the best championship speech ever
Don't forget about the 'skins . They have the ability to throw a monkeywrench into the works as well. It's great IMO. I would rather sweep them when they are in an up swing.
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.
I think the Cowboys are losing their discipline and will under-achieve because of that. You can't have a yes-man as a HC and still have a disciplined team.
The Giants got one hell of a DC when they took our LB coach. And that is going to be a problem for us until we adapt to his intimate knowledge of our offense, especially our blocking schemes. But if we keep Lito and the reduced number of snaps improves his health, we won't have much trouble with their offense.
The Redskins will continue to wander in the wilderness for another 40 years now that the messiah has retired, or at least until they get a new owner. They could play .500 ball for the next few years. But that is probably a best case scenario with the coaching changes and the coaching changes and the coaching changes.
The NFC East will be a challenging division for the forseeable future. But I think the Eagles are up to the challenge.
Agree with everything except the 19-0. I think the Patriots proved that no one will ever go undefeated again.
While I certainly don't expect the Eagles to pull it off, I think the Patriots proved that a team CAN go undefeated. I mean they were like one minute away! Surely it's not impossible to imagine the Patriots actually winning that game. The hardest part is the undefeated regular season, which they did pull off.
