God, (I don't want to bash him...but ) I hope we don't bring Reno Mahe back again. If we bring Mahe back, it is a clear sign that AR and Heckert just aren't doing their jobs. There has to be a better solution!
I'm 99% they will take a WR or DB that projects as a returner in the draft.
Whatcha Gonna Do Brother, When the Eagles run wild on you?
I also wouldn't mind some thought being given to RB. One issue is that we don't know what we're going to get from Hunt(although the birds may very feel they know). Can Buck and Hunt be playmakers or just fill the role? My opinion is that anything serious to Westbrook means those two just fill the role and Andy & Co depend on the 'spread the ball around' offense. Hopefully, they have another WR to help there.
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy

I think Buckhalter has already proven he is a playmaker. Check out his stats from the one game that Westy missed (103 yards on 17 carries, 6.1avg). If you give him the ball he will get you yards, Buckhalter has to be among the the most underutilized players in the league.

I agree BP but who would you cut to make room for him? I'm hoping the Eagles keep Lito and we move Brown to S and we hope that Malcolm Kelly falls to us at 19.
Dont' mean to hijack an Alexander thread, but do you favor the selection of Kelly over Limas Sweed?
TP, I'd be ok with Sweed too but his hand/wrist injury has me a little concerned. I'd rather take a guy with similar size, speed and sure hands who isn't coming off of surgery.

Well, if it comes to that I would certainly hope so but I don't think you can take the stats from one game from a part time, back up RB and say he can do that over the course of the year. Now, Buck was a decent prospect but things happened and, while it is possible he can still be a playmaker, I think about the best you will see now is that he can fill the role and will not scare any defenses.
A playmaker to me is not someone who goes out and plays the game. It is a guy who makes things happen. A person that changes the course of the game on a regular basis. A threat every time he touches the ball. I don't thinnk that is Buck.

In the salary cap era I think it's just unrealistic to hope for super star backups unless you find a "diamond in the rough" in the latter rounds of the draft.
