  • PUP list question

Does anybody remember the rules for this? I seem to remember there was both a 6 week and 12 week list?? I might be wrong about the 6 week one. Abriana could be a candidate for this. Thanks.

    Re: PUP list question

You can't go on the PUP list if you practiced at all in training camp. They will have to either IR him or keep him on the active roster.

Thanks Steve. I guess that answers that question. No wonder nobody brought it up.

Why is there even a Physically Unable to Perform list anymore? I thought Viagra took care of that? .... oh wait, that's something different - my bad.

We've talked about it at length there big boy, sorry you were off getting surgery rather than paying attention here. LMRAO!!

Seriously, all those old rules you remember are all gone. The only PUP rule works very simply, as of day one of TC if you reported and could practice you could no longer go on PUP, once on PUP you can come off anytime during TC, once the season started and you are still on PUP you can't come off until week 6 and must come off before week 10. While on PUP you can't practice with the team, but you can rehabilitate and attend meetings.

So once a guy practices, PUP is not an option for him.... in Abiamiris case, he either gets IR'd or they have to carry him as active no other choice.

How is the rehab coming along?

            Hey MD,

I'm pretty much going nuts by now with this therapy. I've been pretty inactive since January, and when I finally got this thing done at the end of July I was thinking that I was going to rebound like the old days. Not true. The therapists tell me I'm ahead of schedule, but I've got a few months to go with it. I guess I've been a little ornery lately. I'm fighting that the best that I can. Put up with me a little if you can. Thanks for asking.

              Hey pal, hang in there.

I learning as we get older, the healing time gets double or tripled what it used to be. Fell (chasing a ball at a Phillies game) and hurt my hand and ribs --- back on Aug 5th --- and the ribs and hand are still killin me. In my younger (thinner) days 1. I wouldn't have fallen. 2. It wouldn't have been hurting much at all. 3. In a couple of days I would have gotten over it. Snezzin is a bitch!!!!!!!!!!!

Take care and do what they tell you--- and maybe we'll meet up again to watch the SB again in Philly!!!!!!!! Or at minimum maybe TC next year!
