Considering where they picked, it is working out very nicely. This is a fairly nice, young team and if I'm correct, will have some cap room to pick up an FA in the next year or two. I've no idea who will be available, but since they are in that middling area which means they'll neither get a top draft pick nor win a playoff series, they will have to find that last piece or two thru FA.
At first, I wasn't too happy about their recent winning ways, but they seem to have something more about them than last years pointless win streak. The win in Phoenix turned me into a believer.
I like that Stefanski prodded Cheeks to get the young guys more PT. Sounds like he assured him that he wouldn't get fired if it didn't go well. Surprise, it's worked out great! -
