  • Eagle Tattoos

I'm just wondering if any of you guys have any. I'm 58 years old and have never had a tattoo period. Even before they regained popularity, I had been playing with the idea of getting Swoop on my shoulder. For one reason or another, I still haven't done it. What do you guys think?

    I wouldn't do it.

I'm not a huge tattoo guy. I'm not against it, but if i were to get one, it wouldn't be a brand. And the Eagles logo in any form is a brand.

Nah. I'm all for being a fan (funny costumes, face painting, Eagles gear), but something permanent like that? Nope.

Nah. Tats are kind of lame in my opinion. But to each his own.

No way. When the Birds lay an egg on a sunday I can take my Eagles garb off and try not think about it for a couple days. You can't take a tattoo off, EVER!! Tatts are not my thing.

E60, this points out a problem with the whole idea of a team tattoo. When they lose you want to forget about them. Plus you may find yourself among those who don't share our passion for the birds. In that case once again you won't want to be boasting the birds brand on your arm. So may I suggest an alternative that is sure to make EVERYONE happy. Something universal that no one can disagree with... get a DALLAS SUCKS tattoo instead!

My view on tattoos is that your feelings are never permanent. I don't even mean to suggest that you will switch teams, but only that your passion may decline or your feeling that a tattoo is cool may change over time. That tat is permanent and if either of those two scenarios occurrs, you are left with something you are unhappy with.

I just hope they completely go out of style (as they have before) before my kids are old enough to think they should get one.

Just get Henna, if you get it done well you probably only have to renew it 2 or 3 times during the season.

I still give my wife a hard time about her "tramp stamp". LOL!

Tats are fine, as long as you have them someplace discrete that you can cover up if you want to. If you are thinking about doing it up on your shoulder where ever a sohrtsleve shirt would hide it, go for it. It's your body.

Unless you are thinking about joining a heavy metal band, DON'T DO IT!!!

You'll deeply regret it when you are fifty years old...Oh wait, YOU ARE MORE THAN FIFTY YEARS OLD!!! Screw it...just make sure you go to a good, sanitary tattooist.
