I heard that. But he wants to start some where and that place won't be here. Maybe Deshaun Foster? I don't think there's a whole lot out there at the moment. Looks like Mr. McCoy might be more valuable then we thought on draft day.Stand for the flag you assholes!

McCoy is definitely going to get more reps than he would have had the opportunity to partake in had Westbrook been healthy. But the latest reports are that Westbrook won't be ready until the regular season starts. And that they might do some surgery to clean the ankle out.
If Westbrook was in good shape before the high-ankle sprain, he might be back in shape by mid-September.
I could see Andy calling Reno Mahe and asking him to get back into football shape since he knows the offense, and he was better than Booker was in 2008 the last time he played.
If Westbrook is supposed to be healthy by September, and McCoy stays healthy, that may be the extent of what they do. If things aren't looking good by August, they may be willing to trade either or both of our Browns for a good backup.

The bright side is (assuming Westy is in fact healthy by Sept) McCoy gets lots of reps, Westy is well rested, and with the reps Westy gets a little break during the season and the whole O goes great.
Not gonna worry till they say we have something to worry about.

MD is right, at least this will get McCoy lots of opportunities to show he's going to be the man. I can't wait til these kids get some pads on.http://shop.cafepress.com/content/global/img/spacer.gifOK, let's try this again...

An ankle cleaning is nothing (I've had it done a couple of times). Bones spurs are a whole different ballgame. There is certainly conflicting info there.
Has there been any word out on McClendon? Has that horse been able to pick things up at OTAs?
Forget Mahe. Maybe we should give that actor guy we had running around for awhile a call."Hey Giants, who's your Daddy?"

I think there is definitely cause for concern on this. According to pft (I know, I know) he's having an ankle debridement.
http://www.thefootandankleclinic.com...ebridement.htm
When/in whom is arthroscopic joint debridement likely to be of use?
This is a procedure really likely to be of use only in mild to moderate arthritic cases. It is not a precise science advising when one is in this category. The typical patient has symptoms which are not too severe, probably limited to pain when putting weight through the joint, and there is some reasonable joint space left on weight bearing x-rays.
