I think it goes with out saying that NO member of EFO has EVER been unfaithful!

Assuming McNair was screwing around...(apparently, a safe bet)...that would make him a member of a rather large subgroup among married Americans:

"Recent studies reveal that 45-55% of married women and 50-60% of married men engage in extramarital sex at some time or another during their relationship (Atwood & Schwartz, 2002 - Journal of Couple & Relationship Therapy)"

Combine those stats with the fact that professional athletes are repeatedly propositioned by women...often very attractive women. Until I've walked in McNair's shoes and remained faithful, I'm not about to 'cast any stones'!

Still shaking my head......not so much that McNair might've been having an affair, but what was so bad to this girlfriend that it was worth shooting him five times over it, and then killing herself?

I mean, if she was pregnant, she could call a lawyer, have a DNA test and get him for a paternity suit, and if she wasn't...well, she was only 20 years old and still had her whole life ahead of her. Even if she didn't kill him, how much jail time would she be facing for threatening him with a gun?

I dunno........I've known some nutty women, but her only police record is last Thursday's DUI, and she'd only known him a few months........you'd think that they'd be finding some past signs of unbalance in her state of mind. It's crazy, just crazy.

Bottom line is this - IMHO - none of us are in position to judge Steve McNair. No need to. That said - I refuse to be part of the media and fans who sit here and celebrate his life when he just left 4 sons to live without a father because he decided to live a life such as this in a selfish manner.

This is a non event to me. No need to judge someone but no need to celebrate a man who left his wife and kids in ruins because of his selfish behavior.

+1- The man was a talented athlete. He was certainly not a saint. We have no idea whether he was having marital problems or what. BP nailed it, however, in calling him selfish. His kids are innocent yet will be scarred.
