  • Our Receiver Corps.

    Our receiver corps is SICK...

They may not be Charlie Joiner, John Jefferson, Wes Chandler, Kellen Winslow sick, but...who knows??? They are young and talented!!! Sky is the limit!!!

I pointed this out a few days ago. Our young talent is really exciting. Kolb is gonna get the benefit of a receiving corps that mcnabb never got.

We just need a "Chuck Muncie" type of runner, so we don't go even more crazy with the passing game!

... and a better defense than Air Coryell had, which fortunately we do (at least when healthy).

so much so our castoffs produce. Danny Amendola and Brandon Gibson collectively caught 9 balls for 122 yards yesterday for the Rams.

Not sure I would call them cast offs, trade had to be made with Gibson and Danny just had no place to go here cept the Practice squad.... one of those too many riches i guess.... normally a good problem to have.

Now Raham Brock is another story.......................lol.

I noticed that! I also saw that they threw 17 balls at Gibson (he only caught 5 - Don't know whose fault that was!), so he has evidently become the #1 target on the Rams.

And don't forget that once we get Na Brown and Chris T. Jones healthy we are really going to have something.

Truthfully though, these guys are ridiculous good. The best catch of the night to me was Maclin's on the 3rd and 15. Celek's on the game winning drive was pretty good too.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

                    Where's Hank Baskett? Um...

Reid and the scouts have done a very nice job building up the WR's over the last three years.

As much as I love Jackson's breakaway speed and shiftyness, my favorite out of the bunch has become Jason Avant. Dude makes the most of every opportunity he's given. I actually think he's underutilized on the team at this point.

Let's not forget Jason Avant. He lacks speed, but has the best hands on the team and the heart of a lion.

When he stormed into the EZ with last night's 1st TD, he ran like a Back and was not to be denied.

Much like Sheldon Brown, Jason Avant impresses me as a warrior and a guy I'd trust having my back in a tight spot.

this is miles away from what people used to say: "I'm SICK of our WR corps! Why can't they be Charlie Joiner, John Jefferson, Wes Chandler, Kellen Winslow sick just once?" Feels good to be over that now, doesn't it? I sure think so!

And Ben Smith is gonna be a hell of a player!

Yea, they're nice and all; but I still would have traded Lito for Fitzgerald...cheap front office

So true. So true! Fitzgerald could very likely have made the team as the 5th WR.

But when the Cards insisted on including both Boldin and Breaston with Fitz for Sheppard, that was a deal breaker. Why? No room left for Reggie!
