If I send them 20, I wonder if I can have the jacket and they will keep their sorry magazine.
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

Can the 56 issues be 56 years of just the swimsuit issue?

S.I. sucks anymore. I only buy it win something big happens like the Eagles win the super bowl.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

Let's all make a pact. If the Eagles win the Super Bowl, everyone has to buy a subscription to SI. Hopefully, that jacket deal will still be available in fifty years!

I "splurged" ... haven't subscribed to SI in 20 years and agree that it has lost a lot of its luster. Just can't resist another windbreaker ... will now have one for every month of the year.

                  i happen to like SI.

Except for Peter King, the feature stories are very good.

ESPN the Mag I wont even subscribe to for free.

Cryongenics, E60! You tell 'em to freeze you with instructions to defrost you when the Eagles win the Super Bowl!!! They'll certainly have the technology to revive you when the Eagles win their first Super Bowl in the year 2060!

stock - do you have them defrost you before or after the SB? Cause if it's before, they could still blow it and if it's after, you missed the SB.

You're right! I think you need to be defrosted during the two-week (In the future this might be extended to five weeks for simple marketing reasons!) interlude between the conference championships and the SB. You have to take the chance (not very successful thus far) that if the Eagles get into the SB, they'll win it. It'll probably be another fifty years before we even get the chance to be in the SB, so this shouldn't be a problem.

This is the best post I've read here in months-maybe years! Very well thought out. My plan is to play it safe and wake up for the parade.

That's probably the best plan, E60. But, I think I'm probably going to be watching the game and the parade from the gates of hell if the custodians of hell let me. It will really be hell, if they don't let me!

stock, if they thaw you out before me, tell them to thaw me out only if we are handily winning the game and will be hoisting the Lombardi trophy in a matter of minutes. That way I get to see the end of the game and go to the parade.
