  • Popper's NFC Power Ratings

This is the way I see the NFC:

    1) Green Bay- I think they have the best team in the NFC even with the 6 losses. They have had a ton of injuries but continue to adjust much like we and the Patriots have.
    2) New Orleans-I think they have a better team than last year. For some reason Brees has thrown a bunch of interceptions this year which has hurt their record. Even though we all can't stand him, Payton may just be the best coach in football. The fact that they won't be playing indoors certainly could hurt them.
    3) The Birds- A leaky defense coupled with inconsitant pass protection could ultimately hurt them. On the other hand, their offensive speed is devastating. Stay tuned!!
    4) New York- Turnovers are the only thing stopping them. Let's hope they continue.
    5) Chicago- Good defense and a weirdo QB who is on fire. Of course they are dangerous, but how can you take that piece of work Cutler seriously?
    6) Atlanta- Domer frauds. Why the hell do they need one of those things in Atlanta anyway? Their passing game is murder at home though. I smell 0-1 in the play offs.

I hope we get to play IN Atlanta as I have a feeling there could just end up being more Eagles/Vick fans than Falcons fans. Atlanta is a shitty pro sports town.
Whatcha Gonna Do Brother, When the Eagles run wild on you?

Me too Dog!! Then again the final might just be GB and NY. I really think Atlanta takes an early out. GB had Atlanta beat but fumbled on the goal line earlier this year. I think they take them out the second time they play.

I think this playoff field is extraordinarily evenly matched. You can make not just an argument, but a good argument for all six of those teams to win the conference, and one of them won't even make the playoffs.

I think at this point the team that scares me the most is Green Bay. They can win games with offense or with defense and we just might rue the day we rooted for them to knock off the Giants and Bears on the way to the playoffs.

Nice use of "rue the day". I need to use that one more in daily conversation.
