  • Ok,I Totally Missed the Game

My daughter got married at 3pm. We were out in Steeler country,I was watching the pregame, prepping for the Eagles and they didn't show the goddamn game, but I did get to watch the Steelers for 1 1/2 hours. Give me a rundown on how things went. I may not watch them again if they continue to win.How did the line do ? The defense must have done well or are the 'skins a bad team ? Sorry, but I don't have time to read the 243 posts in the GDT.Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

PS. I really got tired of seeing Black and Gold this weekend, but if you are ever in Clarion,PA the County Seat is a great place to eat. ( Not a place for Blitz to take a date )
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

Glass half full: Team won on the road in a hostile environment. We played reasonably well and the defense wasn't a complete sieve.

Glass half empty: Rex Grossman is the worst QB in the league and gifted us 4 INTs. Against anyone with a QB, we're toast.

It wasn't a statement win by any stretch of the imagination but it sure as hell beats losing to that dreck in DC.

To confirm the above post, they improved from previous weeks. Against a quality qb, they might have lost this one.

vick's INT was a tipped ball. VY was horrid when he came in for a few plays. Lesean is a freakin stud. Asante actually used his body on a tackle (and had to leave the field).

and the playcalling is still suspect

Up 2 scores 20-6 12 minutes into the 3rd with a second and 5 at the Skins 16 and we call two straight passes. Ball gets tipped, intercepted and all of a sudden we have a ball game.

why we are so stupid to not run two times and at worst kick a FG to make it a 3 score game and basically over, is just so far beyond me.

Reid and Marty like to make things difficult

Coleman really looked good in coverage obviously with 3 picks. Allen had one too, but he was beat deep and it was underthrown. Not really sure how I felt about Allen's play yesterday.

Dion Lewis is a player. Ronnie Brown is a ghost.

The Eagles really, really dominated the first half and probably should have been ahead 28-3 rather than 20-3 at halftime.

Nnamdi Asomugha had the Eagles' best hit of the season so far, the victim was Chris Cooley:

I take it they don't have pictures of rainbows or the Village People on the walls.

If LeSean holds the shuffle pass, he probably scores. I can't remember if they scored that drive or not.

I can't remember ever feeling this ho-hum over a victory. I'd say it was hollow at best.

Rex is awful and the difference in the game.

I didn't see either of those things, but after hearing of Blitz "catching " a doubleheader, thought "County Seat " might be his choice for a tramp stamp.

Let me get this straight...you missed an Eagles game on television to attend your daughter's wedding?

And you call yourself a fan.

Just tell me she didn't marry a Steelers fan. And also don't tell me you spent 30,000 on a wedding because I now have two girls that will eventually need me to buy them a wedding.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.
