  • OT-WR Calvin Johnson's Cap Number...

    ...puts him and the Lions in a potential situation similar to the Cards and Fitzgerald a few years back. Recall that Fitzgerald's cap number after hitting his incentives was so large that the Cards would either have to re-do his deal, trade him or let him go. Calvin Johnson has hit his incentives and done the same in Detroit, with his cap number next season to hit just over 21 million. Tagging him will cost 25 mil.

    ....remember the clamoring for the Eagles to somehow make a deal for Fitz? think it will start again with Megatron?

      I don't think so. Not because we don't want him but simply because Detroit aren't the sad sacks they used to be and everyone expects the Lions to sign him somehow. Lions fans will riot if they don't.

        Concur 100% They would revolt even if they were offered a package of players and picks. I expect them to shed some other vets, and then re-do his deal.

            Tollugh is a free agent this year. According to the radio he signed a 1 year deal.
