Wonder if Chad Hall is kicking himself for turning down practice squad offer.

Les Bowen noted that Ebert played well for the Patriots in the pre-season game against the Eagles.

Nah. He still might play for the Birds again this year. He's the type that you could call the Friday before the game and he could play Sunday if need be.

With Jackson getting hurt the Eagles are short on Recievers. Wouldn't surprise me if they cut somebody off the roster on Saturday add Ebert and then cut Ebert on Monday and add the player back they cut

I don't know taz. What is this guy going to learn in 4 days? Hall would have made more sense.

            From the Eagles...

A seventh round draft choice of the New England Patriots in 2012 out of Northwestern, Ebert (6-0, 195) earned second-team All-Big Ten honors as a senior after posting career highs in receptions (76), yards (1060) and touchdowns (11). He became just the third player in school history to tally over 1,000 yards in a single season. Ebert played in 52 career games (35 starts) for the Wildcats, amassing 173 receptions for 2,400 yards and 21 touchdowns. The Hilliard, OH, native was an All-Midwest selection as a quarterback at Hilliard Darby High School.

are there any original PSers left ? Helluva turnover in 2 weeks.
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

When I read this, thought you were mistakenly referring to MacLin's hip. I should have known better. Just read about Jackson's hammy.

WTF! Maybe they'll actually run the ball a little on Sunday.

                Then again, probably not!

i saw a fair amount of ebert in college. good college receiver w decent speed. don't know if he translates to the nfl, but glad he is getting a shot. hope he does better than our other northwestern alums (mike "franz" kafka and barry "the turtle" gardner).
