  • Vick may own a dog....Who gives a #*?!!

Bunch of reporters tweeting it and making it a topic and turning it into a story. Yeah, I get it, i know what he did.....But he did his time and he has permission to own a dog. NON STORY, unfortunately, it's going to be one. I dont think it will be a distraction of any kind, I just really hate some of the bs the media stirs up sometimes.

That's why I don't pay any attention to the main stream media when it comes to NFL news. It's a shame what they've devolved into. I blame the Internet. There's nothing to know that you can't find for FREE on the Internet in some form. As a result, reporters, news stations and newspapers feel the need to turn every non-story into drama and oversensationalized bullshit in an effort to get your attention.

It's why I've turned to blogs for my NFL news. Generally only the people writing for the fun of it are the ones worth reading IMHO. Everyone else is just f-ing annoying as a result of trying to earn a paycheck.

      All I read is...

      > Bleeding Green Nation
      > Iggles Blog
      > Blogging the bEast
      > Any good main stream stories that those sites suggest reading

On behalf of the dog population that cannot speak, I don't think Michael Vick should not be allowed to own a dog.

Well the dog probably cares! I doubt like hell MV would abuse him now though. He's too street smart for that. He probably doesn't deserve the love it's going to give him, but Vick lives a charmed life anyway.

In the whole area of topics not worth a headline, this is at the top. It's getting more publicity than the fucking election, and that is pathetic.

                      Stock,

I understand your sentiment but have mixed feelings on the issue. I doubt anyone felt more intense hatred for Vick than I did and I can never get past what he did. If the dog was just for Vick's companionship, I would agree fully...no dog! I understand his kids really wanted a dog. Should they be deprived of the pleasure of having a dog because their father was such a depraved POS for many years.

If Vick is really sincere in his regret for his despicable actions, having a dog to care for and become attached to might be the final step in his getting in touch with the horror of what he did and, thereby, in his redemption.

This is so true! This is the last dog in the world that anyone should be concerned about. In reality, they should force Vick to open up and run a dog shelter because there's no way anything happens to a dog in his care at this point.
