  • City of Brothery Lovie?

Does anybody out there honestly see Lurie giving Lovie Smith the HC job with the Birds. IMO Lovie is a very good Coach but I think Lurie wants "New Blood". Hiring Lovie would be a "Retread". I love the interviewing process that the FO is doing but seems to me that "Youngbloods" McCoy or Bradley will get the nod. Now, if Lovie would be interested in the DC spot, I'm all in.
Just give me ONE before I go!

I'd take Lovie and the GB OC.

They have to interview minority coaches. This whole process is becomming comical. I think the only real candidate that they interviewed was McCoy, and it looks like he turned them down.

Why would you say that, 60? Has there been some report about McCoy not being interested?

I would be fine with Lovie. His Bears teams were always prepared and always played hard for him.
Don't kid yourself Jimmy. If a cow ever got the chance, he'd kill you and everyone you cared about!

                * No they don't. They interviewed Armstrong from Atlanta. They have no obligation to interview any other minority coaching candidate. Speaking with Lovie is legitimate.

Why would anyone be opposed to Lovie Smith? Other than it being a name everyone knows, I don't know what there is to not like about the guy. The guy has coached a lot of teams over the years to some great seasons with horrible quarterback play. Considering his best QB over the years was Jay Cutler who has been hurt constantly, it appears he's done a very good job.

I'm still on the Gus Bus, but it winds up being Lovie Smith I'm Ok with it.

Lovie doesn't exactly exude high energy.

They could also be feeling him out for an eventual DC job.

As long as he does a better job instead of constantly talking about doing it, I'm fine there.
