Done Deal On Alex Smith?

NFL.com is reporting(Ian Rappaport) that the 49ers have told interested Teams that Alex Smith will be traded to KC & that other Teams should not inquier. Terms are being finalized over the next two weeks but can"t be announced until March 12th when FA begins. Acquiring Smith allows KC to draft Joeckel at #1 & let Branden Albert hit FA.
The question now becomes: Where does this leave Foles? Kelly & co keep saying all the right things here but I still think Foles will be traded before the Draft for picks. Jax? Buffalo? Pretty weak QB class but I still think Foles would yield a 3rd rd pick.

I think we know what we are doing until after free agency. I am good with Foles while we fix the D and OL. The question is what happens in FA. If you look at the O Chip runs, Vick will not make the team. It requires thought and Vick cannot throw when he is closer to the line. He is simply too short and has a 3/4 throwing motion. We go into the season with Foles, Dixon and a 2nd round pick at QB

They restructured Vick to be much more friendly in a trade or being cut. The contract Vick got in no way means he will be at training camp.

You probably need a few bodies if you want to run this Chip Kelly read offense in the NFL.

KFFL is reorting that the trade is a done deal but can't be offially announced until March 12th. The Chiefs will send SF this year's 2nd rd pick & a conditional pick in 2014 for Alex Smith. Andy gets his QB & most likely goes OT at #1. So who does Foles get traded to? Jax? Buffalo?

I think there is a good chance Foles goes to the Jets for a 4th ro 5th round pick. He really doesn't have alot of value beyond what we think of him in Philly. I think Andy gave up too much for Smith but I also think it tells you what he thinks of the QB's in this draft.
