  • Like any of our safeties are "ready"???

The safety play on Sunday left a lot to be desired from the very beginning, and Earl Wolff saw significant time as a result. His snap count increased from eight against Washington to 49 against San Diego. He had good moments and was in on a number of tackles, but Kelly cautioned the rookie remains a work in progress and is not yet ready to start full time.

“I think Earl’s growing … but he’s still making some mistakes out there,” Kelly said. “I think (the coaches) are bringing him along, and we’re excited about what his future is, but we still don’t feel he’s ready to go the whole way.”
    "Hey Giants, who's your Daddy?"

And Popper, you see that's the difference with Mr Nate!

He is absolutely ready to go the whole way!

...shitting his pants on every play!

I see that Wolf played 59% of the plays yesterday. We must have used the 3safety look quite a bit. Two things:1) Wolf is no game changer. 2)Why do we have our 3 safeties on the field so much if they all suck?

Could it all be some brilliant ploy?

The guy calling plays for the opposition sees three guys in our secondary who couldn't cover Stephen Hawking and he has a nervous breakdown trying to decide who to exploit first.

hey hey hey. Stephen Hawking has that elusive second gear (literally) that WR coaches covet.

Wlofe may not be a game changer today but he has all of 30 NFL plays under his belt. I am 100% ready to give him some PT in order to grow. I can't say that about Allen
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
              Hope is not a strategy

Wolff has size, speed and smarts.... Lets find outbwhat he has got.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

I agree on going with Wolfe if they won't/can't bring in a proven Safety at this late date.

Wolfe will probably make plenty of mistakes but it's really unlikely that he'll be any worse than Allen. And Wolfe might actually improve with playing time, whereas Allen has pretty effectively demonstrated that he has plateaued at 'Just Plain Awful'.

Hughes pulled a hammy, and Poyer wasn't good vs Washington. So they went 3 safeties from what I read.
