Tony Romo to undergo MRI on back

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo said he will undergo an MRI on his back on Monday, but he does not believe it will jeopardize his availability for next week's showdown against the Philadelphia Eagles, Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas reports.

Romo said his back, which was sore coming into Sunday's victory over the Washington Redskins, troubled him after a hit in the first half.

"That triggered it a little bit," Romo said. "Whatever the kid did on that one play, it really sent something that didn't feel comfortable.

"But it's in a completely different spot than the back stuff I had last year, so that's a good sign."

Romo had surgery in April to remove a cyst from his back and did not take a snap until the team reached training camp in Oxnard, Calif., in July.

Romo was noticeably limping as he carried out play fakes on running plays. In the fourth quarter, he appeared to be in trouble even more after spinning free from the pocket on a third-down throw to Miles Austin. Romo appeared to kick the back of his leg as he escaped trouble, but he did not miss a snap.

Lynch can be absolutely unbearable when he's doing a Cowboys' game. I was expecting more from Washington but between their shitty play in the 1st half and Lynch's almost ceaseless homage to Romo I skipped the 2nd half and went to the beach.

Yes because I think Kyle Orton is better than Romo.

Really though, who isn't better than Romo? When it comes to big games in December, Romo is the last guy you want leading your team.

He looked just fine to me yesterday limping around yet taking his team the length of the field to score. Yeah he's a Cowboy, but he's a damn good QB that I'd rather not face.

Come on Juk, didn't you listen to the Fox slobberfest ? Tony Romo is a warrior. We should fear the Romosexual.

60 don't be scared. History has shown that Romo flat out sucks!! He barely managed to pull out a win against a HORRIBLE Skins team. Yeah they are playing better with Cousins in there but that team is a load of crap and Romo struggled to beat them in a must-win game. Really, what are you afraid of? It's Tony 'Choke' Romo!!!

If we had the 1991 Eagles' defense I'd feel a lot better.

We'll be fine. We don't need to beat them since they like to beat themselves.

Romo has failed in the clutch in recent years but he did produce yesterday. I hope it was an aberration.

I'm with you 60, even though he definitely has thrown some bad picks at bad times, Romo still scares me. The D line has to get in his face next week. Force him to get rid of the ball quicker then he wants too. I couldn't believe the Skins didn't blitz him more, especially that 4th down play. He was gimpy, and it seemed the only success he was having was when he was moving around that pocket. I really thought they were going to come with pressure and force him to get rid of it. But if we can get in his face, like they did to Cutler, and just make him uncomfortable, I think we're gonna be very happy next Sunday Night. And a couple of hits early, especially with his back being banged up, could rattle him. Our O will score points, just need that D to play a good game, not even great. Watchin them shut down a really good Chicago O, should give us all some big time confidence!! It's gonna be a long week waiting for Sunday Night. DALLAS SUCKS!!!!

Task #1 - Make sure Murray is contained.
Task #2 - Score early and Dallas D will implode
Task #3 - Keep Romo in the pocket and get in his face. Don't over pursue him.
Task #4 - Don't turn the ball over.

Also hoping that Shaun Lee misses 1 more game. That guy concerns me when he is healthy.
