  • Hi

I'm so friekin pissed that I have to stay away for a few days guys. I haven't been this mad since that asshole Tommy Hutton fumbled the snap against Dallas.

Agreed. We are all in this together. But take your time Homie!

And those that say we take this too seriously... And I know that's nobody on this board ... But screw em.

I have perspective that it's just a game but I also think it's good for your soul to care about something you can't control. I just hate to see Walt Anderson control it instead.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

        Popper,

        I'm more discouraged than angry.

I'm generally optimistic by nature but a lifetime of disappointment has made me a pessimist when it comes to the success of Philly pro sports teams in 'big games'. When most of the 'experts' I heard/read picked the Birds to win yesterday I figured that sealed their fate.

And then they showed up and outplayed AZ but still lost. In spite of the Red Zone turnovers, in spite of the terrible officiating, and in spite of Nate Allen, the game was there to be won. And, IMO, it was Kelly who dropped the ball at the crucial moment. The failure to challenge the terrible spot on Polk's 2nd run, even if he didn't have help from upstairs, borders on the unforgivable. What the hell did he have to lose by throwing the flag? A TO? A challenge that would evaporate a few seconds later. He had time to think it over...it was our ball. And yet he did nothing.

He didn't challenge because 'Walt Anderson told him they didn't have a good view' of the play? Total bull shit!. I don't believe that. And if Anderson did say that, throw the flag anyway and make Anderson go on record in disallowing the Challenge. It wasn't like he hadn't been screwing us most of the game anyway.

I expect Nate Allen to suck more often than not. I expect Foles to throw pics occasionally, especially when you pass 60 times against a good defense. In short, I expect players to make physical and mental mistakes in the heat of action. What I don't expect is for a really smart guy like Kelly to be stupid in a crucial situation when he has sufficient time to think about it.

That's discouraging because it says things about the future!

Sorry guys. Right now I can't read about 'em, talk about 'em-nothing. I'll just comment stupid, stupid and more stupid. Maybe tomorrow.

I'm still so pissed off that my wife and son are avoiding me and contrary to what tino will say, that's very unusual! I really want to punch the wall right now. I hate this feeling and have to keep reminding myself that it's just a game. Problem is when I hear or think about the game I start to get angry again. I did take some comfort in the fact that Dallas lost too but unfortunately in losing the assholes also cost me an important FFL game! I'll take that loss if it means the Eagles win but losing both just gets me frustrated.

Just remember that every year every team blows a game or two that they absolutely should have won. They also win a game or two that they should have lost. Gotta get over that one and move on to the next. Having said I'll say that my wife will tell you I am on the insane side of the reality line when it comes to the birds.
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy

NoDak! Spot on!! With AR we used to lose 2 sometimes 3 a year that was unexplainable. Let's let this be the only one chip!

They will bounce back, I am sure of it. They just shot themselves in the foot one too many times against a good team on the road.

I do have to say that the 4th quarter INT Foles through shook my confidence in him a bit. What a brutal throw.

My wife thinks I'm seriously disturbed on my good days. The family knows not to interrupt in any way when I'm watching my Birds. I used to be almost toxic after a bad, give-away loss like Sunday. I've mellowed a bit. Repeated heart breaks will do that to you.

Now I just sit quietly in a corner, stare into space and mumble occasionally. My wife is kind enough to wipe the drool from my chin from time to time..

having a safety up at the line covering a speed WR when up 3 with under 1:30 left is just plain dumb. That safety biting on a double move is even more dumb

let them tie it, but don't let them win it

                      wtf!

we could easily be 7-0 right now. This game and the Niners game were both similar.

and it gives me no confidence in this team winning a tight game in the playoffs

we just are not there yet
