  • Suggs- ONLY small fine?

    http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...a-dirty-player

I have seen this now like 40 times and was outraged when I saw that Suggs not only WASN'T suspended, but was only fined like 8K for this dirty play.

    Am I wrong? 8K really!!!!!!

I agree MD, but I don't know what to say about it. It seems that there is no rhyme or reason to the fines. An egregious foul like that should be a heavy hit, IMO.

I hope we are not seeing any politics being played here due to the Ray Rice appeal.

But several guys were fined over 25k this week and he gets only 8K?

Don't dismiss any possible explanation, no matter how distasteful, when it comes to the unprincipled shit who's running this show. Keep in mind that all this controversy all began when he went incredibly light on Rice in the first place.

In defense of the very mild punishment to Suggs, the bogus argument has been advanced that the whistle had not yet blown. That's nonsense IMO. By all appearances, it was not just an 'illegal' hit , it was down right dirty. While we can never know what is in someone's mind, that kind of low, back-of-the-legs hit often results in serious injury.

Just my opinion, but Roger's decision making is totally based on which owners man juice is still on his tastebuds.

If you look at the video, ( I wonder if Roger has) it is clearly an intent to injure.

We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.
