Browns reportedly talked trade with Redskins for 5th pick


The Cleveland Browns have had talks with the Washington Redskins over the past week about potentially moving up to No. 5, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.

I've fallen squarely in the "whatever you need to do" to get Mariotta camp in the past week or two.

But if the Eagles really want Mariotta, you have to trade up to #1. Only way to not rely on others to get it done.

Can you imagine if we'd just traded our #1 last year to someone else for their 1st rounder this year? That's what Chip should have done. We'd have two #1s, next year's, and other assets to include.

I mean, we basically lost our #1 last year anyway ... I don't really care if you have to give up this year's 1, next year's 1, a few more picks/players.

If he's the "chosen one" then absolutely! I just don't see it, but Chip knows more about him than anybody else in the NFL. If Chip does pull it off then I'm all for it!
