  • McNabb Arrested for Second DUI

    Kind of sad. =>> http://sports.yahoo.com/news/ex-quar...5208--nfl.html

ESPN has to hire you after a 2nd conviction. Don't they ?
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

I don't know, but the Cowboys are probably looking to sign him.

Same problem he had as a QB. Inability to learn.

Maybe those stories about him partying until 3:300AM the night before the SB were true.

            It does raise questions.

In my experience, most people who are abusive drinkers in their late thirties/early forties were also drinking pretty heavily in their twenties and early thirties.

Let's hope #5 faces his demons and gets the help he apparently needs.

When you have as much money as he has, there is no excuse for this to ever happen.

I can't wait for Mcnabb to go on Djaxass's "show" for a tear jerker interview, where Donovan will try to exorcise his demons and ask everyone for forgiveness for his transgressions.

So fucking dumb. I can see it happening once. I can. I was young and stupid sometimes I'm still stupid but I make arrangements. The second time is inexcusable.

When I went to my 25 year college reunion, did it seem awkward to get on the shuttle bus from the hotel to the campus? hell yeah but I drank and had fun and then stumbled back onto the shuttle. Get a cab, use uber. Don't endanger the lives of others around you asshole.

McDrunk should have called a McCab.

If you would have asked me back in 2001-2004 I would have guaranteed that McNabb would one day lead us to a championship. He seemed to have it all.
Athletic, intelligent with the football, charismatic, good head coach, great family background, . . .

Sadly, little by little he lost all those things and is a shell of his former self. He can't even open his mouth these days without embarrassing himself and our Eagles.

If only he could have gotten one ring when he had the chance. The saddest words of tongue and pen . . .

I think maybe you're being just a little too tough on him. For example, on his own radio show on Tuesday he responded to the latest DUI charge in a direct and cogent manner...not!

“There was a story that was released, and I want everybody to be cognizant of it, because I am very aware of it, handling the matter at this particular point,” McNabb said. “But at this point, I have no further information, and as we continue on with the situation, then we’ll let it handle as it will handle itself.”

Keep in mind, these were McNabb's prepared remarks at the beginning of his own show with Mark Malone...not an 'off-the-top-of -his-head' response to a question that caught him off guard.

Arrogance and stupidity don't complement one another.

So very true. Every time McNabb speaks, I become more impressed with Andy Reid. How on earth was he able to win as many games as he did with this guy?
If Tim Couch or Akili Smith had Reid as a coach, maybe they would have had more successful careers.

                              My thoughts exactly.
