  • Bledsoe and Dallas

You have to admit, if you give Bledsoe time he will just pick you apart. He is just mauling the Saints tonight.

The key to beating Dallas is not going to be controlling T.O. It is going to be pressuring Bledsoe.

I am sure glad that Andy and JJ have been retooling the DL. It is going to be critical to winning the division this season, especially against Dallas.

BTW, the Saints defensive front 4 looks pretty weak. Maybe they need a Rayburn type player to help out. Maybe they would be willing to give up a Stallworth type player to get him One can dream.

Think the Saints miss Darren Howard?

The Saints suck, but the Cowboys looked good last week against Seattle as well. If Owens ever got his head screwed on straight and just played and stopped acting like a schmuck, Dallas would be scary on offense. Who the hell is Sam Hurd, by the way?

To me the key player on that offense isn't Bledsoe or Owens. It's FLozell Adams. Their OL looks much better when he is in there.

Two other thoughts on the game:

          1) Bush is going to be awesome IMO. He has such acceleration and the ability to cut at full speed. Amazing.

          2) DeMarcus Ware is ridiculously good. Wish we had an OLB like that.

Ty, I agree with you 100%. The Achilles Heel with the Dallas offense is the OL. If Adams gets dinged (He was slightly injured last night), they are in trouble. Bledsoe is great if he has time, not so good if he is rushed.

While Bush had a off night, he did flash on a couple of plays. Demarcus Ware prevented him from gaining on a couple of plays.

The Dallas defense looked pretty good last night. They are going to be tough.

            Dallas sucks.

I think most people recognize that Dallas has a good team defensively and offensively and that their OL is their Achilles heel.

Funny that instead of signing offensive linemen, they go about drafting and signing FA linebackers and signing FA WRs instead of fixing their OL.

They signed a few in Fabini, who will likely start and Kosier, who I think stinks. Makes you wonder if they had known Ellis would adapt so well at OLB if they would have not drafted Carpenter and instead taken an OL with their first pick.

BTW - What the hell is Jerry Jones even talking about? It sounds like he talked to a trained who fed him a bunch of crap about soft tissue "Firing". LMAO.

Jones said he's not sure whether Owens will be on the field when the team returns to practice Wednesday, which means he could also miss the next preseason game, at home Saturday night against San Francisco.

"Soft tissue is such a hard thing to get definitive about," Jones said. "You don't need an MRI to understand it is compromising and bothering him. The main thing is it is not firing. He needs to get to a point where it fires."

am i the only one who doesn't feel like reading much into the cowboys playing well in an effing preseason game?

jerkface on fox sports radio last night: 'their receivers are good...theyre great at rb...their qb is good...their o line is good...their d line is good...their secondary is good..they dont have any holes!'

Their RB's are great? Julius Jones ran for like 30 yards on like 20 carries last night.

I watched the first half of the game last night. Theismann apparently is Bledsoe's super fan #1. The only thing Kornheiser contributed all night was calling him on it.

Did the Cowboys look good for a preseason game? Absolutely. They went out and executed. No one breathed on Bledsoe.

But when did people start reading so much into someone beating up on the fucking Saints in preseason?

Counts as much as our analysis after beating up a bad Browns team.

I'm probably in the minority here but I think Theisman calls it like he sees it with the QB's no matter what game he's calling, I'm not saying I care for him all that much but he usually gives McNabb the same treatment if he's playing well. And he usually does try to explain the plays from a qb's perspective which Kornheiser is eminently unqualified to do.
