Well, I've got the answer to my question!

    The answer is..meh.

Bad deal for the eagle in my view because the price is high for those years, and we Don the control his rights for more than two years. Bqsically, if he doesn't play well, we are paying a ton for a mediocre quarterback. If he does really excel, he can hit the market and cash in again in two years.

My compliments to Condon. IF these are simple incentives lkke, say....making the roster. If he really only makes the 26 mil, then cool. I'm good with that

We really need Bradford to succeed for the Eagles to do well in this deal. I'd like to be saying that we got a top level qb on the cheap for a couple of years.

$36 million for 2 years with $26 million guaranteed is WAYYYYY TOOOOO MUCHHHH!

This is a stupid deal & is definitely all on Howie. We should have just franchised him!

Crazy #'s but that's what the market is these days. It allows the Birds to take a QB in the draft to develop & learn this new system. Not crazy about this but I'll take Bradford over Chase Daniel any day.
Now We're on to the DeMarco Murray Fiasco.
Just give me ONE before I go!

It's not bad, if he's really good.

Otherwise, it's wasted money, and wasted time.

          So ....?gooooooooo Sammy!!!

LOL! That's what I'm afraid of.

That's what I was thinking too. If you look at QB's around the league, $18 is middle of the pack for veteran QB's. It saves the Birds about $2M in cap this year by not franchising him and gets a QB who is a decent leader and if he plays in a normal offense as opposed to the no-huddle all day long, it should be easier for him.

They had to do something and there were not a lot of QB choices out there. Condon didn't get even close to what he wanted to get especially after looking around at the other teams who are set at QB.

I think it's very good news! I don't want to watch some rookie stumbling around next year. The downside is we probably won't get Cox signed now, but we could franchise him next year. Howie has done a good job, but we still need guys to throw to. I just hope Agholor comes around.

so we essentially franchised him for this year and gave him 7 for next year?

                    I don't think it's all that high

I feel much better with a 2 year deal than I would have with a 5 year deal

now get this man an O-line and running game and another receiver

at least it's not a long-term commitment for a very mediocre QB.

They will win a few more games with him than if they let him go. Is that a good thing?
