  • Bovada sets Eagles over/under at 7 games

And they are guessing the Birds go under:

Take the over and you get an even money bet. If you want the under you have to lay 130 to make 100. That sounds about right.

Hard to say till I see them on the field in the preseason. I think 7 or 8 wins is possible.

Tough when they have even numbers. Seven gets you a push.

It's what I was thinking. Schedule is tough, but I could see Bradford and/or Chase getting to 8 (which I hope happens because of the traded first rounder)

11 is my number. I think the defense will be very good
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. 7 wins is crazy. This team is going to win the division. Chip was such a bag of shit. The OL is better, the secondary is better, the defensive scheme fits the personnel better now. And the young WRs have another year to get healthy and better.

Barring a rash of injuries this team is going to win the division.
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

I like yours and MM's calls a lot better than mine. Maybe you should go to Vegas and clean up!

I like the additions to the secondary and the return of Shepperd from injury.

I'd take the over. I don't know about winning the division, but I think the defense has a lot of talent, and Schwartz will make the most of it. That will keep them in games. 8-8 seems like a good bet to me.

That's true EB. I'm thinking that we'll get as far as our receivers can take us. It's tough to have much confidence in them though.

Last year: no running game, no WR production, injured and undertalented OL, weak secondary, kicker off trashheap and a coach who was losing the support of the team.

                      That resulted in 7 wins.

If Peters is healthy then the line with the upgrades is significantly better and will help the running game. The WRs can only be better, they can't be worse, really how can they? The secondary was upgraded, Hicks should be back and depth has been improved everywhere.

This is bus is still being driven by Bradford so the ceiling is very real but they will be better. I just don't think the smart bet is under. I can understand the line of 7 as all the teams in this weak division made moves that are hit or miss (e.g. Dallas's weird draft, The giants weird draft and spending big bucks on a 7.5 sack player, Redskins committing to Cousins and signing Norman.). Both Giants and Eagles have new coaches. This is going to be a hard division to predict.

I think the Giants loaded up on O lineman in free agency and will be better. I'm thinking Sam can be pretty good too. There's a lot of turmoil going around that has pretty much been under the radar too in Eagleland. Both Sproles and Cox are having little hissy fits. I guess the Birds were shopping Sproles around in the draft and he's pissed off too. Doug stepped into a lot of shit in his rookie year.

I think those little issues will die down once the mandatory camps start. The Eagles might be shopping Sproles, and he might not like it, but if they don't trade him, he'll fall in line. It makes not sense for Cox not to show up. He's in a contract year, and he's going to be playing for a DC that is going to showcase his talent, which should set him up for a mega deal.

If that's all they've got to deal with, that's fine. Lord knows we've seen a lot more offseason turmoil than that.

Well that makes 3 of your best players bitching. That's enough for me!

                              Really Popper??

Calm down man. No one has even failed to show up for mandatory activities yet. No training camp holdouts. No situps in the driveway. No heroin related issues. No players telling other players to keep their name out of their mouth. Etc, etc, etc. And on and on. As long as these guys show up for work when they are contractually obligated to do so, this is nothing.
