There is a difference between stealing signals live during the game and video taping teams practices, which I'm sure the Patriots did.

Back in 89 I was helping out the baseball team at my hight school and coached the JVs. The varsity made it all the way to the state finals and I was helping out through the whole tournament. In the sectional finals before the final game I had the other coach's signals by the 3rd inning. No lie. Here we are in the championship game and this knucklehead is using little league signals. Skin to skin was steal. The guy calls for I steal so I call our catcher to pitchout. Their kid doesn't go and their coach goes bullshit. "Dammit, they know you're supposed to go and you don't"! He hid from me for the rest of the game LOL.
