  • On second thought I'd prefer someone other than Jackson

I think that you have to ask yourself why wouldn't the Skins keep him if there is any way that they could? He's the guy that opens the field up for the possession receiver Garcon. I think they quietly have had enough of him because it doesn't make any sense for them not to want him. The Birds are rebuilding with young players and he's certainly not much of a role model for them. I'd love to have that talent, but he might not be our answer for several reasons. This draft is a nice one with some coaches claiming that they project starters in the 5th round. It would be nice if we could get something for Kelce or Barwin. I doubt it with those salaries though.

I'd like to see Jeffery, but the salary will be too much. Jeffery is still a bit young enough to keep for a while. How much of his injury history is not feeling the need to rush back to Jay Cutler or whatever talentless fuck the Bears had backing him up.
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

You have to consider the injury problems when you're talking about the kind of dough that you're going to throw at him. He's a big guy with foot problems and you wonder if they are not chronic? Tough call. You have to love the Jai alai stick hands he has though. His hands look like cestas!

I was always surprised that he was even wiling to consider a return tomPhilly, with the crap that went down with him here. Not only Chip, but the bullshit with the So Cal gangs and everything.....slander campaign convenient launched at that time. That being said, the one thing that really does make me think to look elsewhere is Djax age. I don't worry right now about his personality nor his wanting the ball. Big whoop. But he's no spring chicken any more.

If I were him, i would look to get picked up by a contender.

If they keep Garcon over him what does that say? Jackson says all the right things to the press these days. Well, it's better anyway. It makes no football sense for Washington not to go after him as they are contenders for the East. Makes you wonder doesn't it? I'm really hesitant now.

Do not want Jackson. Team is a couple years away, so would prefer someone younger. More importantly, his attitude is a real concern for a young team. Garçon plus Stills plus a couple picks please. If Garcon does not come loose, mid-tier FA.

I think that I would roll the dice on Jeffrey and pay him big if need be. You know what you are getting with him. It would be nice to grab a burner but it doesn't look like one is going to be available. We have to get a legit receiver and hope Matthews improves. I've given up on Aggie for the most part unless he puts on 10 lbs of muscle and comes back with a pair of balls which is highly unlikely.

Report: Eagles expected to make run at free-agent wideout Alshon Jeffery

DeSean Jackson. Pierre Garcon. Kenny Stills.
Now Alshon Jeffery officially has joined the rumor mill.
According to CBSSports' Jason La Canfora, the Eagles are expected to make a run at the 26-year-old Jeffery, considered to be the prize free-agent receiver available.
Take it for what it's worth — given the Eagles' well-documented need at wide receiver, they should at least kick the tires on any potential upgrade.
Which the 6-foot-3 Jeffery certainly would be.
The 26-year-old, five-year veteran has two 1,000-yard receiving seasons and a 2013 Pro Bowl nod on his résumé. He's a vertical threat and viable red zone option.
But there are the question marks. He was suspended for four games last season for violating the NFL’s policy on performance-enhancing substances. He's had some problems with injuries, too, missing seven games in 2015 and eventually ending his season on injured reserve with a hamstring problem.
Bigger than all that, however, is whether the Eagles could afford him. Last season, he played under the franchise tag, worth $14.6 million. The Eagles still have issues with their salary cap, despite the $3.2 million freed up by releasing CB Leodis McKelvin. While there are expected to be more cap casualties and restructured contracts, Roseman still has a way to go to free up enough money.
A middle-tier free agent like Stills is more realistic. The Eagles almost certainly will target a receiver in the draft too (see options here).
                  Free agency begins March 9.

Heck, there are all kinds of ways to make room if they want him. The Redskins signed every free agent out there and Snyder made it work one way or another even though it didn't do any good LOL.

As far as who's "on the table" as they say I would think any FA wr would be. It does sound like Jeffrey might be way to expensive though. I mean if 14 million friekin dollars didn't make him happy last year wtf would? PLEASE FRANCHISE ME!!!!!!!

First he told his Eagle buddies that it was a done deal, now he wants no part of coming here? It kind of sounds like he heard something through the grapevine that the Birds don't have any interest in him.
