Cox is facing suspension for his hit on Joe Staley.

The Philadelphia Eagles are preparing to lose Fletcher Cox...again.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the NFL is reviewing the play on which Cox broke Joe Staley's orbital bone during Sunday's 33-10 win over the San Francisco 49ers. Cox is facing potential discipline and possible suspension.

The play happened on a 37-yard interception return by Jalen Mills.

Here was a photo of Staley's eye after the play:

Staley suffered a broken orbital bone in his eye and spent the night in Philadelphia. No stitches were required.
He expects to play again this season.
Cox had nine pressures and a sack in the win, but the Eagles may not have him for Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos. A final ruling is expected later in the week.
We're looking for people that are fundamentally different,” vice president of player personnel Andy Weidl said Saturday night. “The love and passion for football, it's non-negotiable. They're caring, their character, they do the right thing persistently, and they have a relentless playing style that you can see on tape. The motor, it burns hot. You see them finishing plays. They have a team-first mentality. They're selfless individuals.

The NFL will suspend him for the Cowboys game to ensure the division does not become a runaway.

And Zeke will continue to play.

    Unbelievable
You know Darren if you'd have told me 10 years ago that someday I was going to solve the world's energy problems I'd have said your crazy.... now lets drop this big ball of oil out the window.

Doubt he gets suspended might not even get fined. It was a block in the back that wasn't called but hardly a cheap shot and hardly something that should warrant a suspension. I am sure the report came from the San Fran side, they lost a player in Staley who had trade value.
Were from Philly F in Philly no one likes us we DON'T CARE!

Cox was just helping the Eagles lower his trade value for them........

After watching it close up it wasn’t even a block in the back. Not sure they can do anything on this one

Concur, didn't see a problem there
Wait until next year is a terrible philosophy
                  Hope is not a strategy

Hopefully. The NFLPA still has 9 hours to file and be granted an appeal.

Maybe someone will get distracted by a butterfly and miss the filing.
